Each year, approximately 150,000 American horses are trucked to Mexico and Canada to be slaughtered for human consumption. Horse slaughter is a cruel, unnecessary, predatory industry that has no domestic market.

Please retweet to help my friend and Twin Peaks Actor: Walter Olkewicz save his leg. Thank you.
Please help Walter get the medical help he desperately needs and help him to walk again. My name is Walter Olkewicz and I've had the good fortune to be an actor for the past 40 years. I've done some 50 movies and over a 100 TV shows. That ended about 15 years ago with my first knee surgery. Infections cropped up over and over again to the tune of, to date, 19 surgeries and my living in a wheel chair the past ten years. Recently I was introduced t...

Siberian Husky puppy

The Siberian Husky is a medium size, dense-coat working dog breed that originated in north-eastern Siberia. The breed belongs to the Spitz genetic family. It is recognizable by its thickly furred double coat, erect triangular ears, and distinctive markings.

Huskies are a very active, energetic, and resilient breed whose ancestors came from the extremely cold and harsh environment of the Siberian Arctic. Siberian Huskies were bred by the Chukchi of Northeastern Asia to pull heavy loads long distances through difficult conditions. The dogs were imported into Alaska during the Nome Gold Rush and later spread into the United States and Canada. They were initially sent to Alaska and Canada as sled dogs but rapidly acquired the status of family pets and show dogs

I saw concerts featuring many great performances here. For example: Bob Dylan, Don Henley, Rush, Tom Petty, Billy Joel, Sheryl Crowe and Peter Gabriel. Depending on the music genre drawing various types of crowds. The venue can be very pleasant or miserable. As a hard core music fan, I look forward to new experiences with each visit.

I saw concerts featuring White Snake, The Scorpions, Elvis Costello and a very entertaining show by Alice Cooper on one Halloween Eve at the Orpheum. The seats were narrow and old. There was little room to sit or stand comfortably. But bearing with poor accommodations to experience top bands made each visit worth it.

There is limited parking during peak hours. Also construction going on often as they convert it from a regular Walmart to Supercenter. Over the last month, the meat cases and some other refrigerator goods areas have been empty. It is hard to find people on the sales floor to help. I waited 15 minutes at the counter in the back to have a key made. Finally I found someone to flag down who wasn't even a Walmart employee. Just a merchandiser who offered to have someone called to come over and help me. I noticed the employees often hang out in front of the store on benches where customers could sit, Smoking there cigarettes and gathering in a group. It is rather uncomfortable to approach the bench area with them loitering there often.
