Two men appear to have worked together to snatch a purse from an unsuspecting woman in Walnut Square Mall before going on a $1,300 shopping spree at Home Depot, Macy's, Famous Footwear and even Burger King.

Dalton police have arrested an employee of a Dalton, Georgia-based alcohol and drug rehab center for allegedly raping a patient.

It all goes back to a lawsuit alleging that the utility overbilled taxpayers for electricity. 
Since its creation in 1935, the Electric Power Board has been owned by and its debt issued from the city of Chattanooga, which chartered EPB as a non-profit agency 80 years ago and continues to appoint the 5-member board that governs the municipal power distributor.

At the height of what was already a rowdy protest in which rocks and bottles were thrown at officers, gunshots rang out from the area near a strip of stores, including some that had been looted. Belmar believes the shots came from about six different shooters. It was not clear what prompted the exchange, but Belmar said the groups had been feuding.
