Thanks a bunch for these videos, Rob!

I have just started to teach myself digital painting, and have zero artistic background (spent the last decade as an astronomer and physicist), but after watching three of your videos I already feel like I have a good foundation to start learning from. Thanks so much for putting these up, and I will be heartily looking out for more of your content in the future :)

I especially love the part where you fly-kick to someone's face... moments after a friendly Titan rockets him to oblivion ;)

Happy Towel Day! For now mine keeps me warm, but is ready to shield my eyes in case there is a sudden post-apocalypse!

There was evidence of this happening about 3:45 AM but it passed at 4:45 AM. All is safe for the moment.

Got into a fight with a Nature's Own rep at my local chemist. Felt bad; was like being put in a boxing ring with a toddler...

The noble and distinguished Evan Forman was kind enough to have me back on Necessary & Sufficient; This time we delve into the differences between "Theoretical & Experimental".

Spoiler Alert: Big Bang Theory fans will enjoy this one ;)

Astronomer, Dungeon Master, and all round Geek.
Introduction
Tim is an Astrophysicist currently studying pulsars, the rapidly spinning dead cores of massive stars that exploded hundreds of thousands of years ago. He currently lives in Sydney, Australia.

In addition to his research, he also active in science communication, including the CSIRO programme Scientists In Schools. He once worked at the most wonderful place in Australia; Horizon - the Planetarium, a part of the Scitech Science Discovery Centre in Perth. If you ever visit there, tell them Tim says hi, and he misses them.

He is a geek and a gamer, a Dungeon Master, and strongly believes that play is an integral part of learning. He is currently really enjoying the online games Guns of Icarus, Guild Wars 2, and is super excited about the new Sim City game.

Tim enjoys rock climbing (and is always looking for people to climb with!), sailing tall ships, and once upon a time was an Officer of the Watch aboard the three masted Barquentine, the STS Leeuwin II.

Tim occasionally talks in the third person.

Online you will more than likely find me under the name "Ageotas", or "Corsair". If you see me online in a game, don't be afraid to say hi.
To describe the experiences I have had at Store DJ as "Loved it" doesn't really do these guys justice. Twice now I have paid slightly more than online prices (though when you include shipping, the difference is negligible), because I would rather keep my business with a local store that genuinely cares about the customers needs. I have been slowly putting together a studio for music and sound development in independent gaming, and every time I go to Store DJ to get the right equipment, sage advice, and amazing after-sales support. One particular stand-out moment: A staff member spent a full hour and a half with me, demonstrating the new features in the Maschine Studio, and Maschine 2.1 from Native Instruments. Not only was he able to assure me that it was the right product for me, but even showed me some features that I didn't even know to ask about. He was able to target what I was using the device for, and the deliver specialist advice that has streamlined my workflow between the Maschine and Ableton, making me more efficient and more productive, and not to mention (I hope) sounding better. There is no other music store I could recommend more. :)

Couldn't recommend Biru Biru enough. The service is fast, friendly, and attentive; the food is exquisite; and the ambiance is divine. The price isn't too high (most expensive thing on the menu was $32 and that fed two of us happily), and leaving with a full stomach makes it great value for money. The sushi is fantastic, but the real standout is the selection of Japanese beers and sake. 5-7pm is "Happy Time", with $5 house beer and sake; I have never been to Biru Biru and been disappointed with the house selection! Ordering from the drinks list is sure to delight as well, with some amazing examples of both local and imported Japanese sake, served both hot or chilled on request. Personal meal favourites: The Rainbow Roll sushi (feeds two or three), and the Grilled Eggplant with miso reduction. -Tim

Friendly and professional staff with a strong background in the physical and applied sciences, giving you a superb level of confidence in their treatment. After a fall while rock climbing triggered an old neck injury, my physio was happy to explain in great detail what was damaged and how physical therapy should be applied while treating me. I couldn't be happier with the level of professionalism, genuine warmth, and (of course) the final results.

My housemate and I eat here on a nearly weekly basis. Their lunches are a great deal, usually less than $7 for more food than a person has any right to be eating, and their regular dinner menu doesn't have a single bad item on it. The Pad Kee Mao is easily my favourite dish, but their Laksa is also formidable. Of the three Thai II restaurants on King, this is the best of a good bunch.

A phenomenal climbing gym; the staff are friendly and approachable, the walls are very tall and varied with a great assortment of top-rope and lead routes, and clean facilities. I climb here two to three times a week, and have never had a bad experience. If you are a climbing veteran or a beginner looking to give climbing a try, I couldn't think of a better place to climb.
