Tim Riley is the author of TELL ME WHY: A BEATLES COMMENTARY (Knopf/Vintage 1988/9, Da Capo 2002); HARD RAIN: A DYLAN COMMENTARY (Knopf/Vintage1992/3, updated Da Capo edition 1999); MADONNA: ILLUSTRATED (Hyperion 1992); FEVER: HOW ROCK'N'ROLL TRANSFORMED GENDER IN AMERICA (Picador 2005). His music commentary can be heard on National Public Radio's HERE AND NOW, produced weekdays out of WBUR-FM in Boston, and he updates his RILEY ROCK INDEX.com monthly. Hyperion published his major new biography of LENNON: MAN, MYTH, MUSIC in 2011.
