As Germany edges towards an ageing population, 2016 is another year closer to plugging problems in business and manufacturing
Germany not only boasts some of the world’s best big companies, from BMW in carmaking to Siemens in engineering. It glories in some 1,300 middle-sized ones—the famed Mittelstand—that dominate global niches such as castors for hospital beds (Tente) and fancy ovens (Rational). Germany is more dynamic than the rest of continental Europe: its unemployment rate fell from 11.7% in 2005 to 6.7% in 2014.

Simply awesome.

Google Photos update – New ways to free up space

Running out of space on your phone is the worst. You’re stuck constantly deleting apps, music, and pictures, just to make room for one more photo or video.

Today, we’re making it easy to free up space on your phone, anytime you need. Just tap “Free up space” in Settings, and Google Photos will remove device copies of your backed up photos and videos.

Or Google Photos can keep track of your phone’s storage space for you. Get notified when your phone is running low on space, and easily remove the device copies of backed up photos older than 30 days right from the Assistant.

All your photos and videos will still be accessible when you’re connected, both in the app and on the web at photos.google.com.

So take more photos and videos. And stop worrying about filling up your phone in the process.

This update is rolling out now on Android and coming soon to iOS.

Check for the update (v1.9) in the Play Store: goo.gl/55OnIr

They haven't even got 5.1 completely out the door for the Moto X 2013 but now that it's been announced, it's time to start bugging +David Schuster and +Motorola Mobility about Android M for that device :P

Very good article on bokeh. I tend to get a little caught up in stuff like this and I like that the author points out bokeh quality is an opinion, not fact. Good point to remember.
In this educational article from B&H, you will learn the definition and history of bokeh, as well tips on how to use it creatively in your photography.

Here's how NFL sensation Chris Borland became "the most dangerous man in football."

"I live by Maya Angelou’s quote that for most of us, 'when we know better, we do better.' I truly believe that people don’t go around intentionally trying to hurt others. Especially those closest to us. Most people are doing the very best they can with what they know, how they were raised, and where they are at in life." ~Dina Strada
Why should you let go of your resentment and rage and forgive someone who has hurt you? Here are 5 things that have motivated me.

Agreed. Time to take a serious look at alternatives to +Amazon.com

+Amazon.com isn't preventing "consumer confusion." They're just trying to manipulate your choices.
Starting at the end of this month, Amazon will no longer sell the Chromecast or Apple TV. And that’s their right. But it’s also another in a long series of dumb, anti-consumer moves that has now crossed the line from annoying to downright dickish.

Own a Moto X 2013 or newer? Follow +David Schuster . He's been doing a great job of posting updates as progress is made on the Android 5.1 release. Some will get frustrated because exact dates/times are not given for the release but getting updates as progress is made is better than no info IMO.

We've been using this office since we first discovered it last year. During heavy times waits can be long but you can use the QLess app to minimize your wait time. The people we've dealt with have always been friendly and helpful. Went to title a new car today and I had forgotten my property tax receipts. The young woman helping was able to quickly look it up and save me a trip home. Process was fast and smooth. They could use more seating for those who are waiting.

Had bed bugs in our first room. Issue was not well addressed. Clothes were taken but not cleaned. A sleeping bag was not removed and cleaned, it was still in the room when we returned in the evening.

I give them 5 stars for the friendly driver and mostly friendly office staff. I give them -5 stars for lying to me. I had a family member involved in a wreck. I was focused on my family at the scene and let the police call a tow service, GT Tow showed up. Driver was friendly and courteous telling me where they were located so I could pay the fees. I showed up later that day and asked if they thought I could get anything for the car, I knew it was totaled but figured better try to get something out of it to defray the emergency tow costs. The office staff said I would get very little for the car and have to pay to get it towed from their lot so it wouldn't really be worth my efforts(that was the lie). I ended up calling around and found a local salvage yard that would give me something for it and tow it away for free. As I was talking with the lady from the salvage yard she was surprised GT didn't tow the car directly there after the wreck since they work with GT Tow a lot(that's how I know they lied). I ended up getting a little bit out of the car, enough to help defray the tow and storage fees charged by GT, so I was pleased with how the situation played out. I'll make it a point to never use GT again.
