1. File edits saved in the original NEF files while retaining the original raw data. Replaced with sidecars which is exactly what many of us didn't want. That means a mess of files littering our folders with the potential to have original file and edits separated from each other and go missing.
2. No U Points !!!!! WTF! The absolute killer feature of NX and along with the superior NEF handling above all other products, is the key reason I don't need Lightroom, Photoshop, etc. It's an amazing feature and simple.
Even worse is the U Point edits (and I assume all other post process edits) are NOT supported in NX-D. So it will open the files 'raw' I assume. In which case I strongly advise you DO NOT switch to NX-D to replace NX2 as you will lose your post processing!
Very sad. Once NX-D is available out of beta, NX2 will become unsupported apparently. No support for new cameras, fixes, updates to support new versions of operating system. NX-D is in no way a suitable replacement, which means having to find a suitable replacement and workflow. Having to reprocess all old NEF files to another format, probably via TIFF and having to lose the history of edits, saving only original file and final edit. I'm assuming NEF is a dying format other than as a raw file from the camera. i.e. NEF with edits from NX will probably become unsupported especially if NX was the only reliable software to render the edits and in camera settings fully.
Rubbish. Only reason it's popular is because it makes crap photos look sexy on a crap phone screen and all the people they post them to have crap phone screens too.
Not that stuffing yourself with endless cheeseburgers is going to be good for you anyway, but overblown survey that just has the media saying "protein is bad, m'kay"
