PLEASE NOTE: TIME CHANGE: This will be for Tomorrow, Thursday, at 8am PST / 11am EST. Thanks, we'll see you there!

Hi Friends,

*INVITATION: "What the Plus?" +Google+ for the Rest of Us

Who CARES? is ON AIR tomorrow morning with special guest and good friend +Guy Kawasaki. We'll talk about specific principles from his new book, and how he envisions its maturity and use for businesses, SMB/SME's, as well as for our own personal branding. This is going to be a treat, so join us!

In advance, if you haven't already, you should read What the Plus?, it is the most practical and beneficial 'manual' to getting started the right way here. Don't take my word for it, here's what +Vic Gundotra, Google's SVP of Social says about it: "“We didn’t expect over 100,000,000 people to join Google+ so quickly. If we had, we might have written a tutorial like this one. Lucky for us, Guy has written this wonderful introduction to Google+. Highly recommended!”

See you all on tomorrow for Who CARES? BTW: If you'd like to nominate someone for this show, please do!!! >>>

Awesome! I'll definitely be there.
I need to do this early like 8am or late like 5pm Pacific I cannot do this mid day
I just bought +Guy Kawasaki's "What the Plus?" and it's being delivered to my Kindle as [I write]. Thanks! I'm looking forward to the read.

[edit:we speak >> I write] ;-)
If you all have questions you'd like +Kelly Burnette and I to ask Guy, please post them here! We'll get through as many as we can in the 30 minutes we have. Thanks, and see you tomorrow! #whattheplus #googleplus
+Tim Moore +Kelly Burnette I speak on a regular basis to audiences of Small Business owners who are on Social Media burnout and don't really understand the value of Google+. I help them understand the value of Google+ so that's not my concern. More importantly, how do you overcome Social Media burnout issue when you speak to folks? I know they're going to kick themselves when they're yet again behind the curve when Google+ becomes the mainstream network and Web marketing tool for Small Business. Those ideas, suggestions for getting them to get up out of their chairs and sign up, start a Google+ page for their business and getting active, would be much-appreciated! Thanks!
+Tim Moore Great. Thanks for changing it. Have to take my son to visit Cal tomorrow. What exactly do I do at 8 am get into the hangout? Email is better:
+Tim Moore Burning question: Hope you can cover tomorrow morning: In the section that discusses using keywords as a mechanism for seeking people, pages and posts on a topic (i.e. your example Packers), how does Google+ know a person or page is associated with the topic one is searching? For example, if I want to identify myself as a Packers fan (aka influencer) that would appear in search results, how would I do this? Similarly, how would a page do this? Thanks!
+Guy Kawasaki I dropped you an email, let me know if you have any questions. I'll invite you to the Hangout at 7:50am PST so we can do audio check, then we'll roll. The sketch is from your book and some real questions from our G+ family via this thread. Thanks again my friend!
Ask Guy to tell the story about how +Mari Smith nearly killed him with a lamp last week. Priceless :)
+Tim Moore Tim, I have a Q: [from 16 March.. unanswered as yet] Thanks ..

+Guy Kawasaki Guy, On page 82/3 of WTP! you talk of adding metadata.. We are trying to figure out what you mean exactly and how this affects search at g+ .. We can see Captions and Photo filename .. but nothing else..

Do you have some other technique hidden up your sleeve ? Thanks.. Mike and Robert. cc +Robert Redl
WTP! reads..

• Metadata . Fill out the “metadata” with keywords so search engines can find your image. If you

took a photograph of Tokyo Tower, then tag the image as “Tokyo” and “Tokyo Tower.” Google
can’t actually “see” your image, so help it with metadata.
Thanks +Mike Downes, great stuff, I'm going to get to as much of this stuff as we can.
