After college and eager to please, I went to work for IBM. But I quickly discovered that the big company bureaucracy wasn’t a great match for my ambitions. Luckily I made some great friends, who were much smarter than me, and we left IBM in 1995 to start our own company, Ganymede Software.
Over the course of the next 5 years, we raised money from venture capitalists, grew to over 100 people, and sold the company in early 2000 by NetIQ.
