Magpies will steal eggs as well as break them and eat them in the nest box. I set a video trap to watch this one in action!

This week Zoe has written an interesting article on commercial ducks. Chickens are of course getting a lot of publicity but ducks don't seem to be in the spotlight....

After many years of keeping ducks, I never realised you could get Albino ducks...

Domestic ducks seem to be everywhere they shouldn't. Are there any on your local pond, mixing with the wild Mallards?

If you are hatching chicks then it's always useful to know what to feed them in an emergency!

So I've been quiet for so long... reason is I've been working on the new poultrykeeper.com website since December.

It has taken me far longer than I expected but we've got over 600 articles to move across and photos to edit and so on. I'm hoping to launch it in July so hope you will visit it and give me some feedback when we do :-)

During this time, I haven't been releasing new articles - but our authors are still writing... so once launched, there will be some catching up and regular articles again! We have some really great articles to share with you.

There are lots of new features in the new site but it's been a Marathon. We are almost there!

Hope your summer is warmer than mine. We had the fire lit on June 1st... Brrrr.

Tim
