In 2008, the horse was dedicated to Julie Andrews, to commemorate her service as Disneyland's Honorary Ambassador during the Park's 50th Anniversary. Hence, the display of Julie Andrews' initials, the Mary Poppins imagery, as well as the number 50. In a nice coincidence, 2014 will also mark the 50th Anniversary of the movie's release.
