Introduction
I'm a freelance games writer. You can find my work at WeeklyRift.com, WiiUDaily.com and occasionally at IGN.com.

I'm currently on indefinite hiatus from games academia after graduating with a Master's degree last year. I still like to think, research and write about the space games occupy inside wider ideas of philosophy and media, I just really want to do it on my own terms for a while.

I'm also into comics, music, politics and journalism. I work nights as a producer at Fairfax Media (home of The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald).
Education
  • RMIT University
    Master of Communication, 2011 - 2012
My major research looked at the place of video games within post-modern social theories. This was mainly through an application of Jean Baudrillard's Simulation theory to modern games.
  • RMIT University
    Bachelor of Communication - Journalism, 2008 - 2010
