Tokaido is a game about enjoying the journey. This is a video about a journey – and Tokaido. Watch as I climb a giant hill and talk about the 2-5 player game that I'm enjoying the most lately: Tokaido, from designer Antoine Bauza.

What are you playing?

Do you like this format? Should I do more like this? Feedback gives me smiles!

Ortus is up for its second attempt at funding and it's already demolished its goal. It's a two-player tactical game that will be available on both iOS and Andriod, as well as a printed analog version. I had a chance to email with Joost, the designer, and find out a bit about the game and his process.
Tactics, you say? You want a tactical game in both iOS & Android app format AND board game? Then perhaps you should look no further than Ortus.

Day late, but it'll be worth it... This week on Board Stiff, I take a look at Story War, a game as ridiculous as you want it to be. It's basically a free-form story telling game for 3 to 8 players and is only limited by your imagination. To prove this point, I'm hosting a little contest to give away a copy of the game! Choose your combatants and tell me how the battle goes down!

(Sorry, US only as I can't afford to ship it abroad. The good news is DFTBA, the distributor, does ship internationally!)
Tiffany returns with the long-awaited Story War, a frolicking masterpiece of storytelling combat! Plus a contest within!

Recipe: Roasted Cinnamon-Sugar Pecans
At some point a few weeks ago, I decided it was a brilliant idea to live tweet my recipe for Pumpkin Pie . I had fun doing it and decided that I would do it once more, this time with the Roasted Pecan recipe my coworker gave me. For those that don't follow ...

I know it's doing well on it's own.. but baby dragons! I did a quick review over and GamesAreEvil today that might give you a bit more info. Spoilers: It's a lot like Nuts, with a little bit more strategy (but not much).
Catch this Kickstarter quickly, 'cause it's heading' to a close right quick! Tiffany reviews the latest and greatest card game, Havok and Hijinks.

I hung around with a few of the creators at GenCon 2013 and played the game.  I was sold right there... I can't wait to get my copy.

It's Incredible Expeditions' last day! My demo video is done in just the knick of time!!!!!

I play a quick demo of the game and get a little info about it from the designer, Liz Spain. SPOILERS: I really like this deck-builder, and can't wait until my copy arrives.

Belle of the Ball is a pretty game about a fancy party, made by a pretty fancy-dude. I interviewed the designer, Daniel Solis, over GamesAreEvil this week about how he game up with the game, it's art, and a little bit about the process that went into it. Spoiler fun fact? Daniel came up with the idea while watching Firefly!
A tricky, gorgeously-designed cardgame? Inspired by Firefly? Yes, you heard correctly. Tiffany interviews the mastermind behind it all, Daniel Solis, about this recent Kickstarter masterpiece.

Introduction
I'm a geeky girl that's gone a bit knitty. With my corgi sidekick Ichi, I take on the world one adventure at a time. Sometimes I blog the adventures, sometimes I tweet them, and sometimes I write reviews about them (the tabletop kind, at least).
