Fair warning: I love a good debate, and I love it best when I haven't a clue what the answer is. I'm also fairly opinionated and believe everyone has the right to be offended :)
So, what about you?
The more I hear Bernie speak, the more I want him to win. For a good long while I was on the fence about Clinton, thinking that at least she'd be better than what the Republicans are throwing out at the moment, but no - not anymore.
I'm concerned that she is flipping her positions closer to Sanders and that if she gets the nomination, she'll then swing the other way to try and grab as many of the Republican nominations. She's as bad as Trump is at saying what the most people will agree with long enough for the soundbite to stick. I don't know where she'll actually land when it comes crunch time.
Sanders has been consistent, and I absolutely agree with most of his views. I also really appreciate the refusal to attack candidates. He's debating them and calling out the issues with other candidates without slinging mud. In modern American politics, that's classy. It takes real strength of character to do that.
"[Y]ou're looking at somebody who ... has a 100 percent pro-choice voting record. ... Somebody who’s made a cornerstone, a key part of my campaign, the need for at least three months of family and medical leave; somebody who is fighting to raise the minimum wage over a two year period to $15 an hour, which will benefit ... women actually more than men; somebody who regards it as enormously important that we fight for pay equity for women; somebody who believes that our child care system is a disaster today and that we need to have the best childcare/pre-K system in the world, making it universal and affordable."
- Bernie Sanders
They're younger than they look and it's been interesting watching the mother come back and feed them sporadically. I suspect they're right on the cusp of flying the coop.
