Working Title: Private Pain, Silent Struggle
Since last fall, I have had the tremendous fortune to be a part of the Souls of Black Folk project sponsored by the Painted Bride Art Center. A group of artists have gathered once a month at the Painted Bride to discuss W.E.B. Dubois’ seminal work The Souls of Black Folk and its impact on our artistic practices and ongoing conversations about race and class. This project will culminate in an artist showcase in mid-May.
