Gas VS Electric at Thunderhill. Who are you betting on?
It's electric versus gasoline as these two potent and lux sedans compete on road and track.

I'm surprised that they didn't try the P90D instead, even if it's not clear that it would have won either, Teslas just aren't meant to be track cars (owner of a 90D and a separate track car).

Thank you! Good, fun facts to know!
I laugh at the dB pricing difference fit Laguna Seca; it is sad they have to do that to appease the residents who moved in after the track was built... there's a trace track just down the street -did they expect peace and quiet?!

Everytime i go there the staff are very welcoming. Most of the time you can get into the track for free and enjoy some really cool events. The drift track is awesome and the speedway is amazing. Really good place to get food and something to drink and enjoy some fast cars.

If only the racing gods had decided to put this ribbon of asphalt in a cooler location. I guess we have to be upset with modern zoning and noise ordinances. Those people suck. Thankfully there isn't much around so if you run out of talent you're going into the dirt instead of someone's yard.

Great track and all services needed available. Weather is almost always perfect. Easy access to freeway and hotels. Track is setup for 3, 2 and 5 mile config. A fantastic layout.

Great track. I was there with Superbike-Coach The clubhouse was nice and the paddock was easy to get around in.

I recently did a track day at Thunderhill on the full 5 mile course, and the new section is an awesome addition. The esses and tight corners introduce some welcome variation to the existing elevation changes and off camber turns. It makes it pretty satisfying and challenging to run a nice, clean lap. For beginners, I feel like the extended length can be a little intimidating. It takes time and experience to digest all the little nuances of a track this long, so I really recommend going with organizations that provide coaching if it's your first track day. Hooked on Driving and BMWCCA have great coaches, and both are very organized so you get a good amount of track time. They're pricier than other organizations, but the coaching is really valuable. I definitely would've learned the track much more slowly without their help.

A fun, twisty-turny track with wide open spaces around in case you leave the track "involuntarily". The main building has a nice, cool room to chill out in, and there's some covered, shady spaces for your car - which you'll want in the summer: temps in the high 90s°F) are normal. Three's an OK on-site grill, and insanely-expensive gas - but much cheaper stuff is available in Willows.

One of the best race tracks in northern California. Especially the 5 mile configuration.
