Honey Locust thorns are pointy but so cool looking.

MORE NEW PRODUCT AVAILABLE...

The Thorn Terrain 2-in Squares have gotten a lot of positive feedback so +WoldStand has made more pieces available.

In addition to the original style of the Thorn Terrain, we've added a rough ground version.  Sand is mixed with glue to form some uneven terrain around the pieces.  Mix them with the plain flat pieces.

The base is primed a dark sand and the trees are Honey Locust thorns harvest with care.  They are very pointy.

You can also fit miniatures on these terrain pieces and use them as a basis for your elaborate diorama or display.

Painting Sci-Fi and Fantasy Miniatures Blog
Introduction
The Markshire Minis Page is a blog about painting miniatures, creating cool bases for them and customizing mechs, monsters or characters.

I use common craft paints from AC Moore, Michael's or Walmart that I find on clearance or it's a color I don't have.

I tend to buy most of my minis via Reaper Miniatures online but we also troll local gaming stores including.
A group of us get together regularly for Paint Night and a Movie.  We gather around a large table, paint, and watch a variety of movies.

I jump around a bit when painting figures.  Sometimes you get stuck while trying to determine colors or schemes and "is that flashing or part of the figure?"  So updates and comments will bring back old figures to the foreground of the blog.
