Life, will be what you ACCEPT!
You contain everything within you that you need to make your life a successful one, or you can fail in life and remain a victim of your past. Every person has their own belief of what makes them a success or a failure.
Incidents occur that we may not haven planned for, but you can decide how you will react to them. You either accept it and use it to your advantage, or you resist it. Joy is not material things, it's felt in our hearts. The worse condition we can impose upon ourselves is self-pity which can be debilitating.
Spend less of your time on problems and more of your time on the possibilities in your life.
What determines one's success is whether it brings them genuine joy, inner peace and fulfillment. Joy and happiness lie inside your heart and mind. So look for what's truly important to you and then let go of the rest. Life is wonderful. Don't be discouraged by adversity, meet it and defeat it with courage.
Life is kind of like a Rubix cube if you don't get the first time you have to keep at it until it all aligns the right way.
Will you let life happen or are you going make it happen? #RelentlessPursuitOfGreatness #PermissionToDream #Mr_TRW

Many say to me, Thomas it must be nice to live your dream each day...

Do you like what you do, does it fill you with meaning and passion?

Does it make you feel complete?

It can take months, years, or several career changes however it does not matter how long it might take for you to find your passion, do not settle until you find what truly makes you happy.

You do not have to give up anything when you go after what you want. But you will have to give up the “old you”

Yes, sometimes you will question yourself on your journey because it’s not a “overnight success.” But it is worth everything you left behind, everything you sacrificed and every step you took on the way to discover your true and unlimited potential of success and happiness.

YOU ARE the Driver in your LIFE, not the passenger!
Huge thanks to all the RoadRunners yesterday. I know you were exhausted from training camp practice #10. I appreciate you showing up and giving your best for 1 hour.
Thank you Coach Wilson for trusting me with you team during the most important time of the season. I appreciate the respect and attention your team showed me.
Amanda Gilpin, thanks for taking the time for our prep calls and filling me in on the team. It really allowed me to connect with your group.

Are you ready?
The misconception of, I’ll DO IT when I get more money, I’ll do it when I get more time. I’l do it when the time is right.
The truth is, you will never be ready. You can prepare as much as you can beforehand but you won’t ever be READY, until you just jump in with both feet.
What you need:
REPS-
At first its going to be uncomfortable and YEP, you won’t start out as an expert but you will get better as time goes on and as you gain more experience. - My first speaking engagement, I was sweating, I was nervous and I forgot 75% of the stuff I wanted to say. I wasn’t seasoned and it showed. But after 150+ speaking engagements I don’t sweat like I used to, I remember my key points and not nearly as nervous. It takes time, and you get better with each rep.
COURAGE-
Until you commit, you can’t reach your full potential. If you’re half hearted it will show and your authenticity wont be maximized. Everyone is afraid, but your courage will trump your fear because one thing about you is, when you are bold in your actions the results outweigh the negative results. - When I transitioned from football I was afraid because I never did anything else before. I didn’t have the confidence in myself that I was MORE THAN AN ATHLETE. I didn’t give ALL of me to speaking, and it showed. What changed? Me stepping into my fear, facing it head up which showed me, courage is a lot stronger than fear when activated.
PASSION-
People can sense when you love what you do. It’s an energy that you exude. It’s infectious and people are more drawn to you when you absolutely love what you do. - Every time I get the opportunity to speak, there is an energy that fills my soul. There is a switch that flips and when the microphone cuts on it’s like I turn into another person. I’ve been told that I don’t like what I do… I LOVE WHAT I DO! And the truth is, I get to call my PASSION my job.

Character= when applying these steps with action through energy, values and service, a person contributes to any situation.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Good Character Builds the Trust Needed for Success:
When having the goal of leadership in mind, one must lead with integrity and intentions.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Confident Character
This will help you to be more direct and stay focused on the direction, rather than following other people, or making insecure decisions.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Moral Character
This comes from a person’s ethics and values that they believe in and stay true to. Be loyal to your moral code. Your employees and partners will pick up on this and be more supportive, leading them to work towards the vision of the company.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Empathetic Character
Empathy constantly comes up as a trait needed for leadership. Being empathetic means you see from the point of view of others and that they may act in a different way to how you would in a certain situation.

SUCCESS- what is it exactly.....
A little secret is, you can’t learn everything about SUCCESS in classroom. You learn what real SUCCESS is, on the job and in LIFE.
Best way for you to learn, is to take your leap into SUCCESS. You must learn to build the plane as you fly it!
At the beginning of TRW, Inc. I barely knew how to open up a bank account. I didn’t know about P&L’s, the difference between W9’s and W2’s. I was lucky to have trusted advisors and mentors who showed me part of the way but a lot of the process came from trial and error. Spending too much $$ on things I didn’t need, and not investing enough $$ into things I truly needed.
Things that felt like failures in the beginning, weren’t actually failures. It was a learning curve. Some of the mistakes were more costly than others, but all of the mistakes have taught me how to run a business. Winning feels better, but losing teaches more.
Many believe SUCCESS is a 9-5 job. SUCCESS does not have a time clock nor does it have a start time or finish time. There is no overtime in SUCCESS. When chasing your SUCCESS people don’t realize all the hard work that goes in behind the scenes. They only see the end results. Many people living SUCCESS had to sacrifice so many things along the way to get where they are today..
What is one thing you must sacrifice to reach the next level of your SUCCESS?

Who to lead? Who to follow?
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
The people we choose to surround ourselves with impact the way we think, act and feel even when we don’t think they do.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Growing up and wanting to be a successful football player I had to surround myself with people who pushed me to become better, not people who distracted me from my potential to succeed. Pete Carroll would say, “You want to be a good football player? Hang around good football players. You want to be a bad football player, hang around bad football players.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
People you must have in your inner success circle:
1. Dreamers: people always have goals, hard workers & have big plans for themselves
2. Ones who ask Questions : these people always want to keep the perspective of their goals clear
3. Positive: will always be your in your corner no matter what/will not bring negativity at any time
4. Relentless: passionate for their goals, the success of the team, does not compete
5. Transparent: these are the ones who keep everything real, raw and communication open

“IF you could only speak ONE word today, what would it be?”
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Perspective: a particular attitude towards something.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
As an athlete, my perspective was contstantly negative. Whenever a coach would try to correct my play on the field, I always took it PERSONAL. When a teammate would try to encourage me, I would always assume that they were doing it because I wasn’t good enough. This mindset and perspective held me back in so many ways. It kept my walls up, and prevented me from seeing people were trying to help me, not hurt me. It forced me to see LACK and not ABUNDANCE. I wish I could go back an have a positive perspective. Who knows how my football experience would have turned out if I would have looked at the game from a positive lens?
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
The simplest ways to shift your perspective from negative to positive:
1. Do not stress about the things you can not control/are not of priority
2. Stop comparison of your life with others
3. Accept constructive feedback only
4. Be more empathic/less sympathetic.
5. Happiness is a state of mind not a person, place or thing.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
This will allow you to bring yourself one step closer to achieving success in life and business. No situation is perfect, a conscious change in perspective can have a huge impact on your success in life and business.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Trust the process and it will be worth it. #RelentlessPursuitOfGreatness #PermissionToDream #MrTRW

Chasing your Dream...
1. In order to chase a dream, you must know what you’re going after.
I. What makes you come alive, feel fulfilled & significant?
2. It’s going to take a village of people who KNOW what you’re after.
II. Are you willing to share your vision with others, so others can help you?
3. One must be will to take chances & face fear.
III. How far are you willing to go? What are you willing to give up and sacrifice to obtain your DREAMS?
REPEAT until Goal/Dream accomplished
At 7 years old I identified I wanted to play professional sports. It took 15 years of dedication and sacrifice to get there. NOTHING HAPPENS OVER NIGHT!
In 2012 I started my own company. I lost friends, lost sleep and blew through a lot of money… IT WAS ALL WORTH IT, SO THAT I COULD BE IN THE POSITION I AM TODAY!
When I became a motivational speaker/author, people ask me all the time, “You’re only 27, what do you know about life?” They said, “You haven’t experienced anything yet. So your advice isn’t valuable.”
ENERGY VAMPIRES ARE REAL AND THEY TRY TO STEAL DREAMS!
When you’re courageous enough, bold enough and wildly passionate, GREATNESS is what shines through and stands the trials of time. Time and time again!
