SUPPORT & SERVICES: The Queen's speech on Wednesday 21 June, set out the government's proposal for yet another Immigration Bill.

That bill will allow the government to revoke EU law on the free movement of EU nationals and their family members and instead insert immigration provisions within UK immigration rules.

There is still a lot of uncertainty about what those rules will ultimately look like so we will be watching this space.

However, if you are likely to be affected by such proposals and would like to sure-up your UK status, feel free to get in touch at info@thomaschaseimmigration.com

UKVI Email Charge.

Are you an overseas visa applicant looking for an update on the progress of your UK visa application? Have your credit card ready. As of 1 June, you will be charged £5.48 to make contact with UKVI via email.

There is already a charge for contacting UKVI by telephone if you are outside of the UK.

The charge seems excessive given that applicants often contact UKVI due to concerns about the handling of the visa application or because of delays, through no fault of their own, in getting an outcome.

And let's not forget the visa fees can be very high. Like if you agree.
