This lecture series should be mandatory for school kids

Just finished watching this series on justice by Michael Sandel. Really worth checking out as a background to why modern society values things like equality and liberty.

Each lecture introduces the thoughts of a famous philosopher concerning justice and morality. Then there are lots of discussion between students and lecturer about real life examples featuring interesting moral dilemmas about topics such as lying, forced conscription, affirmative action and taxes. The 12 lectures follow on from each other in a smooth and logical manner that had me completely hooked.

Anyway watch it, and tell your kids to watch it too! :)
