This Week in Geekery | Two Geeks, One Blog http://ow.ly/vuJKT
The moment has arrived! No, I’m not talking about the singularity or life on other planets - nothing so mundane. Game of Thrones season four premiered this week. Who will live? Who will die? Who kn...

Zombie Beavers!
Yet another film in the "cutesy animal gnaws your face off" genre, this time with an undead twist. If this keeps up, the world might soon be ready for my Ladybug Apocalypse script...

This looks like a good one...
If you enjoyed Tommy Wirkola's take on zombies, fascism, and blood in the snow, get ready for the sequel - Dead Snow 2: Red vs Dead. It looks like they've cranked the gore and the camp up to eleven...

After a prolonged absence - another game review!
It's been a while since I've posted a game review. Sorry about that. It's not that I haven’t been playing new games - I have. Earlier this year, after a flurry of game reviews, I applied for an E3 ...

The sequel to The Gamers: Dorkness Rising is finally here...

Not our usual review fare, but truly a geek movie...
This isn't technically the type of movie we normally review, but I haven’t posted a review in a while and just finished watching this. Besides, I still have to wait a bit for Sharknado to become ir...

An oh-so timely review of the latest Civilization V expansion - Brave New World...
Hello. My name is Tom, and I'm a Civ addict. *Hello, Tom* I've been a civiliation addict since the first game came out some 20 years ago (God, I feel old). Those early, epic sessions where I'd star...

The livestream shows it in bloom at the moment...
For the first time since 2007, a titan arum has bloomed at the U.S. Botanic Garden in Washington D.C. Also known as a "corpse flower" for the smell of rotting flesh that it emits, the massive blossom is expected to reach "peak smell" early this morning. Hooray for peak smell!(?)

Story
Introduction
Software engineer and aspiring screenwriter. Maybe I'll combine the two and write a romcom someday: Java boy meets .Net girl...

OK, maybe I'll expand on that. I'm a (seemingly) lifelong database developer and software engineer currently working at a company that helps school districts around the country submit the reports they need for funding.

When it came to screenwriting, I found it required a surprisingly similar skill set to what I'd already been doing. I'm currently aspiring (read: unsold) but ever hopeful that one of my comedies might see the light of day someday.

My interests are all over, but you'll mainly see posts about tech and in-general geekery...
