gPodder 4 for Android. Early release, some breakage expected but give it a try (for Android 4.0 and newer). See http://blog.gpodder.org/2014/11/gpodder-4-coming-to-android.html for details and known issues.

WOW!  Hey!  Long time no see!  Remember when I used to loiter the Maemo.org website and talk to you about this app?  I used to LOVE using gPodder on Maemo and on my Linux desktop.  I will definitely give it a try now that you've ported it to Android!  THANKS, AS ALWAYS!

Dear lazyweb, can I somehow tell "yum" that when i type "yum install libx11-devel", and it only finds "libX11-devel", that it should go ahead and install it? Why does it distinguish between upper- and lowercase anyway? It's not like someone would do a different package with the same (lowercase) name?

+Thomas Perl Because that would be too clever to expect it from Redhat? But try something different: try upgrading Python on that Redhat installation and watch yum turn into a bloody pumpkin.

"Presto reduced the update size by 95% (from 97 M to 5.1 M)."
(Also, automatic mirror switching when a download fails / is too slow.)

Playing with Fedora 18 since last weekend, I have to admit their package management has actually improved a lot since last time i used a RPM-based distro (that'd be Red Hat 8 in 2003). Also, it has working, clean GNOME 3.6.

I'm using archlinux for the last days coming from debian and I love it. Maybe you wanna try that too.
I nether got comfortable with rpm based distros.

Parsing the LugRadio "episodes.rss" feed on a N900 (600 MHz Cortex A8) with an experimental parser I've written in C (yes, that's 0.8%, not 80%).

Very impressive! After reading https://github.com/antono/vala-object , my interest in moving computationally intensive logic to a compiled library was definitely piqued. Now I need to make a test.

As Google Reader replacement, I'm now using a private installation of PlanetPlanet, which is easily customizable with Python and plain HTML: http://www.planetplanet.org/

Annoying Gtk bug: MenuItem inside a SubMenu doesn't fire "activate" when clicked, except when parent item is also clicked. Surprised that this hasn't been fixed yet (can't find a similar bug report on bugzilla.gnome.org).

https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=695488

Example code and workaround:

Well, if you want to use it in Qt/QML, I guess it would be better (faster) to have it in C++. Although it would be interesting to compare JIT'ed JS vs. non-JIT'ed Python vs. C++ (and maybe even JIT'ed Python via PyPy).
