Chromecast SDK will likely be available in 2½ weeks time.

Got the invite below to a Chromecast SDK hackathon on December 7-8th, due to having whitelisted my device for development.

The Chromecast team is hosting a two-day hackathon for developers to test-drive the upcoming release of the Google Cast SDK. Our engineers will be available to share changes from the developer preview, discuss best practices, and answer any questions.

Event Details:
Date: December 7-8, 2013
Location: Googleplex, Mountain View, CA

Registration is a two-step process. Anyone can register, but as we can only accommodate a limited number of attendees, priority will be given to those developers who have experience with the Google Cast Preview SDK. Please sign up before November 25, 2013.

Thanks for your support!

+Mark Gjoel No, I won't be attending.
But I found it interesting to share nonetheless as the Chromecast SDK is highly awaited and there's been no public information hinting to when it would be released so far.

Personally I was especially looking forward to Chromecast functionality in Plex, but sadly I recently realized that Plex doesn't run on my new NAS (Synology DS213j). But with the SDK released I'm confident it won't take long before another solution presents itself.

Very interesting information indeed!

Any update of when the SDK will be released?
