So something I have been thinking about. I went to school at 18 to be a teacher. I was nowhere near ready for college and ended up dropping out. I went back to school at 36 and I have a bachelors degree in information technology. Does anyone know what I would have to do to get certified to teach computer classes? I have been researching but still not sure.

Usually you just have to get a certified teaching certificate since you are already degreed in that field. If you're SAT/Etc were high enough you can bypass taking qualification tests. If not, you have to take the basic tests (English/Math/Etc) to become certified. There are tests all over the states. I am sure each state has different requirements but that is how it works here in GA anyway.

Pretty good deal. 79 for tablet and a 25 dollar gift card.  Might be fun to play with Windows 8 on a tablet.

So I am looking for a multi tool for work. Something like a Leatherman. The only catch is it cannot have a knife on it. We aren't allowed to bring a knife in the plant and have to go through search and metal detectors on the way out. Any suggestions?

If you find one you like but they won't let you have the knife, you could always just remove the knife from it.

+Thomas Jones just because 99% of memory is used doesn't mean squat, it's how it's being used and what is using it that matters. Most operating systems and applications are smart about memory allocation, the questions I would ask are, what's the memory profile like? How much is in buffer? Cache? What is using those segments.. etc. It's possible memory has bullocks to do with any proble.you are seeing

Nothing like having 13 sev3 tickets pop up(lowest sev before regional pages and auto conference calls are initiated) and realizing it is a switch that is gone bad. Then the only unused switch in the building happens to be 40 foot in the air waiting on a power drop to finish an install.

A friend of mine asked me about a 2 camera security system for his house. I do not care to help but I am not sure about what are decent brands that are affordable. He was looking and showed me what he was looking for but what he had found was just add on cameras and not the whole system like he needs.  I do not care to help but I am not familiar with cameras and would like some input on who makes decent quality systems that will not break the bank. I think they want to keep their budget around 200.  Thanks :)

I really got to find a job with better hours. This working day shift 4 months out of year sucks, especially with a new born at home. We swap shifts every 4 months and our shifts start at 6:30 am, 2pm, and 6:30 PM. It is only 4 days a week but still gets old not getting to see the family much 8 months out of the year

+Cord Scott I would not mind a permanent night shift. But, we swap every 4 months and that is the problem. The reasoning is we get more development time with the engineers and managers being on day shift so no one is stuck all by themselves forever.

2009 JKU 50k miles.  When I put it in 4 wheel drive I am getting a kind of grinding sound. It only does it under load.
I am not sure if it is the transfer case or a u joint. I am not the most mechanically inclined owner out there and any advice on where to start would be appreciated.

Windows 7 enterprise edition. Zebra gx430t printers. About once a month I find a printer that will not uninstall. No matter how many times in uninstall, reboot, unplug, uninstall, reboot, uninstall, the reinstall comes up as copy 1 and will not work. Anyone else run into this problem from time to time?

Microsoft has a couple of Fixits that reset the printer subsystem. I've used them often to remove unwanted printer drivers. They work well.

We have a few work carts but only one tool cart at work. We use the small luxor 3 level carts and I am looking for some kind of small tray or tool kit to make it easy to store standard tools on these small carts. I was just wondering what solutions other techs used. This is just small tools for replacing monitors, mounting hardware, wireties, cutters, etc.

I know this group is not for tech support but I have a question. HP 9050 printer keeps giving jam in tray 3 message but we are not using tray 3. I am very newbie with printers and not sure where the paper sensors are but I have not been able to find any visible paper jams in the machine.
