This was shot with multiple cameras in techniques over the years for 360° photos and video. All techniques for 360° are evolving quickly these days.

+Robert Scoble, futurist at Rackspace, called our 360º video demo on the Samsung GearVR, the "coolest thing I saw at CES2015".

Here's our 360º VR view from CES2015 - http://360labs.net/video/ces2015-360%C2%BA-vr - Be sure to stick around for the Vegas Strip view at the end.
Virtual Reality was on everyone's mind at CES2015 in Las Vegas. Here is our 360º VR view from 36 incredible hours in Las Vegas. Special thanks to Robert Scoble and Rackspace for their graciousness at the the Yo Suite and kind words after. As I edit our most recent 360º footage (rafting the Rogue River in Oregon), this conversation is inspiring. Mad props to the woman who added a plugin for Premier that allows an editor to manipulate things like projection, zoom, and exploration of 360º content when building a "standard" video from it.

You are a master. This is unbelievable, yet there it is. My god, that was cool.

As long as I've considered the Grand Canyon (2 privates & 1 commercial), I've never even considered going down there alone. What an amazing adventure! What a humbling experience. What an amazing journey of self discovery! I do hope nobody ever does this again, though. Too many young men would die down there if this became popular.

Can anyone explain to me why this 71 pano connected virtual tour was removed from Google Maps. It is shot at a State Park, outside, and with definite mapping interest. It takes you behind a gorgeous waterfall on a 100 year old trail. How is this not geographically worthwhile? How do I appeal this decision? Is +Evan Rapoport still on the Views team? If not, who is running the show? +Adam Lasnik any ideas?

Raft the world-famous Rogue River in VR 360º video! Over four perfect summer days in 2014, Rogue River Journeys from Ashland, OR invited our 360º GoPro camera array along to capture the entire experience of rafting through the rapids of the Rogue. Featured rapids include Mule Creek Canyon, Blossom Bar, Black Bar, and Rainy Falls. The imagery gathered on this expedition will also be used to produce a VR 360º video map guide for the Rogue River in ...

Portland's First Google-Trusted Photographer @ GigaView360 - 360 panoramic virtual tours for Google Maps, GigaPixel, & 360 VIDEO
Introduction
Photographer/Owner @ GigaView360, partner @ 360Labs
Portland's first Google-Trusted Photographer providing StreetView-like virtual tours for businesses on Google Maps & their own websites.

After an early career chasing whitewater & shooting Google StreetView across North America, my panoramic imaging today allows me to share entire experiences online.

Grand Canyon GigaView, a gigapixel virtual tour by river of America's premier natural attraction, was my first panoramic photography project, funded through Kickstarter.com, and has now been explored by nearly a million people in Google Earth (via 360Cities.net) and Bing Maps.

Besides Google Business Photos, I offer my gigapixel panoramic photography services to international brands (NFL), legendary musicians (U2), or anyone who gathers a crowd.

I've worked with the emerging medium of 360° video for over ten years. Among the first employees of Immersive Media, I've also worked with yellowBird, MatiVision, and, most recently 360Heros, as well as pursuing homemade 360° video systems with GoPro cameras in my garage.

In spring 2013, a project I helped build, the Beck 360° Experience with Lincoln Motor Co, won two Webby Awards, including one for Best Use of Video.

I still try to get out of the city as often as my wife and I can, where you can sometimes find me atop a scenic viewpoint with a range of panoramic photography gear.  Robots, calibrated pano heads, dozens of cameras, lens, and maybe even multirotor RC helicopters to capture the experience.

The term kid-friendly really doesn't do Laurelwood justice. It's not just the "family room" that separates rowdy kids from standard beer drinkers or the play area full of fun toys for those kids. The servers assigned to the family room are exceptionally patient and accommodating. Last night we had an impromptu Americorps reunion with families showing up randomly, moving chairs constantly, and kids running everywhere. Our server, Matt, was a rock of hospitality, kept our many checks efficiently separate, and did it all with a smile. I was chasing our one year old followed her six new friends all around the room, and Matt gave me the "Kennedy package", making sure that I had a beer waiting for me when I got a break. Thanks for making our reunion night worry-free and without embarrassment. Matt's crew also did a great job running food. 5 stars for Laurelwood. You guys just became our go to kid friendly restaurant!

I can't wait for my daughter's first trip to OMSI (she's only 6 weeks old;) My neighbor's 5 yr old can't read yet, but recognized the OMSI logo on a business card on my messy desk the other day (he loves to explore my home office). He obviously associated the OMSI logo with one of the best times of his life (the kid is a born engineer). For a half hour's entertainment in my rather toy free house, I showed him the Google StreetView virtual tour I made for OMSI. You can explore it by clicking on the photo below "See Inside" on the right ---> He thought it was almost as cool as going to OMSI.

I love exploring the furniture in this shop & there's so much of it. Each piece is unique and comes from sustainable sources with family members in the native country to make sure of it (if I remember correctly). Check out some of what they offer via the StreetView style virtual tour under "See Inside" on the right ---->

My parents were in from out of town, staying at the Heathman, and I took them to the Picnic House across the street for lunch. We were served by the owner food by his wife. My parents loved that. They don't ever have a personalized experience like that in Dallas. The sandwiches were inspired, with perfect details, and when I asked for banana peppers on my cured meats sandwich, the owner gave me a knowing smile and brought exactly what I was looking for. My mom could stop talking about the wild mushroom soup. Thanks for helping me show them what I love about PDX, Picnic House. See you next time. BTW - You should totally show off that new space of yours with a Google StreetView virtual tour. ;)

I love stopping by the Guardino Gallery every time I'm on Alberta to see what they have in new. I thoroughly enjoyed shooting their Google Business Photos ("See Inside" on the right ----->) and getting to know the owners.

WillaKenzie's Pinot Gamay is possible the best wine I've ever tasted. I wish I had ten more bottles in the basement. I really dislike Chardonnay, but I found WillaKenzie's to be entirely drinkable, too. Love the detailed virtual tour of the winery. (Click on the photo below "See Inside" on the right --->) If you follow the arrows across the patio to the other building, then down the stairs, you'll find that you can explore the fermenting tanks, and on the second lower floor is the barrel room & private wine cellar. Good fun!
