Orchestral concert with soloists

This evening embraces contemplation and atmospheric sensibility when works by the greatest Baltic masters will be performed in the shining of the candlelight. Works by Pärt, Sibelius, Vask, Anna-Lena Laurin and other.

Tõnu Kõrvits (1969-): ”Laul” (”Sang”) for viola and strings

Anna-Lena Laurin (1962-): ”Autumn Fields” for violoncello and strings (premiére specially commissioned to Klassiske Dage)

Jean Sibelius (1865-1957): ”Nocturne” for flute strings

Deeply founded in folk music, the Baltic Way of Saint James, a network of pilgrimages, leads os to the German-speaking regions on track of Mozart and Schubert as well as premières of the piece Roots by Anna-Lena Laurin and Carl’s Fiddle by Harald Haugaard.
