My photography roots go back to street photography. I came from the school of French photography, influenced by Cartier Bresson. Here's a little "photograph of the instant" that should make people think and maybe even provoke. That was taken last week at Clearwater Beach, FL.

A few shots from my recent trip to Rio, just a couple weeks ago. As always, your comments are much welcome and appreciated! Thanks!

This contest is about to close tomorrow. Please help me and cast your vote right now! Even if you voted previously, the link has changed and you might be able to vote a second time!

The voting system is a little tricky, so if you are willing to help take a look at the directions here (three simple steps). Thanks a lot! Let me know if you have any questions:

1. click on http://thomasclavel.artistswanted.org/yr2011
2. click on the "Vote" button
3. click on the "Like" button that appears in the pop-up window to the left of "Click like to help this portfolio win the People's Choice Award.". If the "Like" button does not appear, just close the pop-up window, refresh the portfolio page on your browser (hitting F9 should do it) and then go back to step 2. Your vote is not taken into account unless you have "Liked" my portfolio.

This is a tough competition and the more people can vote for my portfolio, the more chances I have!

Thanks again for your help!

This is so sad. I'm so glad I'm not selling anything through Paypal and I am reconsidering doing such a thing, ever. As a photographer, I'm horrified that such a work of art would be destroyed by Paypal and I can't imagine one of my buyers destroying one of my works in the name of Paypal. Let's try to avoid Paypal for future payment systems, when I get to sell my work online.
