A good read if you want to do successful marketing. And why wouldn't you?

I call shenanigans on the use of buzzwords in this article. Although its hard to disagree with the point about "going deeper" into consumer motivations, the methods prescribed (neuroscience, facial coding) are unlikely to give a more reliable picture by themselves than any other method. Garbage in, garbage out goes equally for online, offline and all market research methods.

A good read to remind you that tips and guidelines aren't hard set rules! Be creative and intuitive sometimes, as long as you test and check that it actually works.
There are many, many, many lists of conversion optimization best practices. Some are sacrosanct: Sliders distract - you should get rid of them. Everything

Knowing there are people like this in the world makes me just that bit happier. They make a genuine difference. Merry Christmas to all.
There are 34 children in the Briggs family - 29 of those have been adopted from all over the world and the family is about to get even bigger.

Best read in ages. Mr Brand, you just lost the fight. You tool.

Very funny with some rather interesting ad accurate points.
Russell Brand has been gallivanting across the UK with a camera crew, turning up at media head quarters, marching on Downing Street and even popping in for a quick chat on Question Time.

If you understand Danish, then just watch this video of an amazing case. If you don't understand Danish, then the summary is:
Basically, Sportsmaster is one of the largest sporting goods retailers in Denmark with around 100 shops. They (+Adapt A/S) built a fully responsive site and the results are rather staggering:
- 50% of traffic to the site comes from mobile devices
- in peak periods, 25% of the total revenue (ie including the 100 shops) comes from online
- online drives around 30% of the footfall
- 80% of the visitors to the site prefer to buy in shop
- 70% expect to visit a shop within a week of visiting the website

"My mobile site doesn't convert." Well maybe it's because you force information boxes on your customers which can't be closed. Sigh. Did you even test this?

So you click Back and add it again to a seemingly empty shopping basket, only to find that you're now buying 2 dishwashers.

Don't call this a mobile site until it's fixed...

Tried on both +Bilka and +Skousen.dk - matcher laveste netpris. Bilka was cheaper by the way...

This story is actually old(ish) but I hadn't heard about it until now, and it's nice to share a true testament to humanity. Georgios Samaras and the general treatment of Jay Beatty as a fan rather than a boy with Down's syndrome. Well done. I'll (try to) stop crying now.

A good player doing good. Sets a fine example that many other players could learn from.

Brilliant gesture by Rojo. He will give huge amounts of money to his childhood club http://goo.gl/jf6DcJ   #MUFC
Marcos Rojo is a star for Manchester United and that necessarily does not mean he has to forget his roots. The Argentinean star impressed Van Gaal at the World Cup and earned his move to Old Trafford. But before all of th...

Best football news I've seen in a while. +Juan Mata to stay at +Manchester United is hopefully true.
MANCHESTER UNITED are preparing to reject a January offer for Spanish international Juan Mata.

Great player. I'd hate to see him move to a league as dire as the Italian (see Podolski).
