Introduction
Thom Dunn is a Boston-based writer, musician, homebrewer, and new media artist. He enjoys Oxford commas, metaphysics, and romantic clichés (epecially when they involve whiskey and/or robots). His newest play, True Believers, is being workshopped as part of the 2011 Berkshire Fringe Festival. He was once paid $200 to dress up like Spider-Man and sign autographs at a Wal-Mart. This remains the single greatest moment of his life, but that doesn't stop him from trying.

Terrible, terrible, inattentive service. This bar exists solely to make money on Northeastern students looking to get drunk on Coors Lite. They offer cheap food deals, sure, but they also randomly don't honor those same deals, with no warning or fair reason. Last time I went, their beer tap lines were filthy, pouring awful tasting beer with all foam. Tried to mention this to the manager, and he just walked away from us. Warm, foamy beer is fine for a keg party -- not for a restaurant.

Custom-made strong cocktails, for a not-outrageous price. I don't generally believe in waiting in lines at places, but for this place, it's totally worth it.

Friendly, attentive staff, with fantastic food and great cocktails. They also offer up a good variety of entertainment and community events at night, from punk shows to Latin night to gay night to country brunch and more. Welcoming, cozy atmosphere (although I wish they still had bowling)

Fantastic bartenders, decent food. Surprisingly relaxed and unpretentious.

Food and drinks are great, but it's obnoxiously pricey. Not in that it's too pricey -- every thing costs about 15% more than you'd expect to pay at any mid-level joint, but not as much as it would cost at a high-level joint, so while you don't mind spending an extra $1.50 here and there, at the end of the meal, it all adds up. Still, a great atmosphere, even though it tends to be crowded.

Very informational tours, especially for the non-beer-initiated. Friendly staff. Smaller than you'd think, as they don't actually do any of their large batch brewing here (just the small Brewmaster's Collection stuff, and R&D). Sign up for their email list to attend some of their awesome open house/food pairing/beer release events! (or don't, so I can keep going)
