Dear all, here is our latest just-for-fun literary drinks video. This time inspired by 'Lucky Jim' by Kingsley Amis... after a bit of deliberation we decided we couldn't go with a potentially fatal methanol drink and instead bring you a selection of Kingsley's favourite cocktails! Enjoy... responsibly :)

Dear all,

Hello and welcome back! For those who didn't know I was enjoying a year abroad in 2014 but I'm back now and getting all of our social media pages back up and running! I'm really looking forward to sharing Thinking Plainly's news with you and I'll kick off by showing you our latest little project - a fun excuse for a drink!

Over the course of this year we will be picking our favourite books and recreating the drinks mentioned in them. Please subscribe to our YouTube channel for future videos :)

Dear all. This page is still live but I am leaving this notice at the top to say that there may not be any new posts for the remainder of this year. As you may or may not know I am spending some time abroad and due to irregular Internet access I wanted to make sure people did not think that the page has been abandoned! Unless you post regular new content, social media pages can look very odd and give off the wrong impression. So to save my anxiety of letting them go untouched for long periods at a time I thought it best to put it on hold and make sure anyone who visits understands. I will still use Twitter and post on my Blog (which shows up automatically on my personal Google+ page: https://plus.google.com/+RGRankine) as that is easier to do on my mobile however for now my company page will remain quiet. This page WILL be active again so please do keep following and I look forward to posting soon!

Dear all, hope you are well and have settled into 2014 nicely. If you read one of my previous posts on Facebook (19th Jan - https://www.facebook.com/ThinkingPlainly ) you will recall that the Thinking Plainly page will be fairly quiet this year so instead of bringing you my normal Monday round up of art and literature articles from the weekend newspapers here is a link I couldn’t ignore from the BBC website  Don’t forget we are still posting on our individual pages so do follow us there as well as our blogs. Have a good week all! R.G Rankine, Rufus Garlic & Alfred Duff.
