In 1999, the turnover in my area was of € 10.6 millions, including € 1.2 million beyond the FT Group. This was 24% of the company turnover, and 47 % of its activities beyond the group. In June 2000, my team included three Sales Managers and one Assistant, who covered all areas outside Europe.
2/ Set-Up and Management of the “Services Purchase” Department
OSC decided to externalise parts of its services. I set up the Purchase Department. This was part-time until May 1999. In April 1998, 85 external consultants were active (+400% in one year), generating annual Turnover and Profits of € 12 and € 1.7 Millions Euros.

I was first in charge of the Technical Department set-up (i.e. hiring, procedure, supervision). I then took the management of the Sales Department (commercial offer, training set-up, sales procedures), and of the prospecting of several big accounts (Total, SITA/Equant, Engen, Africa On Line). In April 1998, the company had contracted a yearly turnover equivalent to US$ 3.4 millions.

CYRUS: MOBILE PHONE NETWORK in the Republic of Congo
First, I defined the market-study and pricing structure. I then joined the Operational team in Congo and was in charge of sites’ supervision, supplier management, and of the OMC set-up. I was finally in charge of the commercial launch in Pointe Noire.
