Marketing for charities is lifeblood – it is a necessity in order to secure those much-needed donations. But, marketing doesn’t come cheap for anyone. Nor, does it come easy to grow a strong, reliable and sustainable database of regular donors.

It felt like that GDPR deadline was looming for months.

In the week leading up to the 25 May deadline, almost all of us will have had our inboxes full of emails asking us to opt in to the various marketing lists we have joined over the years.

Some may have been a surprise – Twitter was awash with comments about the companies who we didn’t even know had our details on file. So, what’s next now that GDPR in practice is well underway? Our latest blog takes a look at what the changes have meant so far and how it is affecting the way in which our data is used as consumers and also being collected as companies or marketers.

Digital marketing was a phrase coined in the early 00’s to refer to all online marketing activity.

Until recently, there was a rivalry between ‘traditional marketing’ and ‘digital marketing’ disciplines, specialists and agencies. So much so that companies started to carve out separate budgets for the two.

In our latest post we explain why this not the approach to have in order for your marketing to work. And that the first step to rectifying the situation is to ditch the phrase 'digital marketing'.

How are your customers spreading the word about your brand? Are you doing everything you can to keep it positive? Are you even listening?

Getting that all-important PR coverage, whether it’s in print or online, takes a lot of graft. The work ramps up even further if you want the right kind of PR coverage – and who doesn’t. Crafting the perfect PR campaign and pitch means knowing who your audiences are, where to find them, what they are likely to engage with and then delivering all this right to their door.

In our new blog Jude looks at why not all coverage is treated equal, and how to ensure you don't lose focus from what really matters when it comes to PR.

We see more and more businesses invest in their own photography which is a fantastic investment to make. We know that when a company does this, all the other marketing activities that stem from these images fall into place.

This photo is from a shoot we carried out last week at The Salt Lounge which we already have so many ideas of how it can be used.

Do you invest in having unique images for your business?
