Ochazuke is a seasoned and grilled rice ball served with a Kyoto Bancha tea as the broth and tea with some wasabi caviar and umeboshi pickled plum and a side salad of cucumber salad. YUMMY!

#JapaneseFarmFood  written by Nancy Singleton Hachisu while living on an Organic farm in rural Japan is woven into our own #Tokugawa  grown plums and delicious #Matcha  from #Kyoto  day and just had to be captured in a fun photo.  The book is a gorgeous resource whisking you to Japan either by plane or armchair.

Try cold steeping Japanese teas for a naturally sweeter flavor. Start with 5 teaspoons  Japanese #greentea    such as a Sencha add 34 oz good tasting water in a glass jar, tighten the lid and pop in the fridge for about 2.5 -4 hours. As you drink about 1/2 add more water and allow to steep another hour or more. The cold water will allow the leaf to remain in the tea without becoming bitter for about 12-18 hours. Enjoy   #StayLoose   Stay Cool!
