A simple tip-the best way to ease the burn of an overly-spicy dish is with cold milk or yogurt. Avoid water as it won’t mix with the oil and will only result in moving the heat to other parts of your mouth.

Indian cuisine is simple, yet complex. Many spices go into an Indian dish to give it the flavor that some people desperately love. How many spices common to Indian cuisine do you know? http://www.toptenz.net/top-10-indian-spices.php

Love eating dum pulao or dum biryani? Did you know they style of cooking started in India?
The Nawab of Awadh was facing a shortage of food so he ordered a meal to be cooked for the poor in huge handis, covered with a lid and sealed with dough. That way you could cook a lot of food with minimum resources. Who would have thought that this would eventually lead to a new style of cooking, now known as 'dum'.

Some inspiration behind the story of The Spice Room…..in the Indian town of Chittor Aquila, alongside the Tea Stalls and busy roadside eateries, proudly stand the relics of a Grand Haveli Mansion No. 89. http://ow.ly/i/8XLkr http://ow.ly/i/8XLkG http://ow.ly/i/8XLlr

Are you planning on seeing Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour? Aida puts the intimate affairs of the heart against the grandeur of the universe: where kingdoms rise and fall and the sands of time grind onwards. What better way to start your evening than dinner at The Spice Room?

Did you know that the world’s hottest chili, according to the Guinness World Records, is the Carolina Reaper, developed a few years ago by Ed Currie? (Yes that really is his name!) http://www.wsj.com/articles/why-we-love-the-pain-of-spicy-food-1420053009

Ordered the 2 course Banquet , everything was pretty good. The medium spice level is actually not spicy at all. The cocktails are pretty good, my friend found Queen's necklace absolutely amazing, I'm sure the name helped in that too. The white wines are just average. Decor is absolutely fantastic!! Reservations are a must any day.

It is an absolutely awesome place for authentic Indian food. Starters especially aloo tikki chaat is good. Even the main course both veg and non veg are really amazing. Beautiful interiors and music makes you feel in India itself.

Excellent food and service. We had the beet patties, spinach dish, veggie pakoras, and samosas, and eggplant with spices. Very good, just enough spice. The mango lassi was large and good. Feeling blessed to have eaten here.

Been here for a work lunch with my team. We pre-ordered our food so it was on time. Great tasting and decent serving size. Would definitely recommend to others.
