Major League Baseball puts a lot of stock in match-ups between left and right-handed pitcher/hitter combinations.  The numbers over a long period of time show that left-handed hitters have an advantage over right-handed pitchers, and vice versa.  In fact,…

The season began last Monday with a loss to Oakland, then the Texas Rangers got their first win Tuesday, followed by a loss Wednesday, a win Thursday, a loss Friday, a win Saturday and it wrapped up with a heartbreaking loss on Sunday. So if you are…

Watching tonight's game our guys need to get stronger. Really no long ball threats. Prince is a single guy now and Moreland just can't seem to make contact. I know it's early but I fear this will continue to trend.

Comparing Starting rotations and bull pens is a much harder job, and we can already see the Rangers are not the leading hitters or fielders. While nobody likes excuses, the fact is that the Rangers have three starting pitchers under contract that are on…

Part 1 Everyone wants a prediction of how the Texas Rangers will do this year. Will it be better than last year’s 65 wins, above or below the betting line of 77 wins, or can the team actually compete and find a way to get into that magical 90+ win…

In the movie Groundhog Day, Bill Murray is forced to face the same day over and over again. Every time he wakes up, it’s still the same day. I feel like the beginning of spring training 2015 is sort of like that for Texas Rangers fans. The 2014 off season…

The Texas Rangers started their first streak of the season last night, and unfortunately it was a losing streak instead of a winning streak. Ross Detwiler was once again underwhelming in his performance on the mound, and after the first inning of the game…

I think think JD needs to be held accountable for this team if they underperform two years in a row. How do you NOT get left hand bullpen pitching? How do you NOT replace a number one pitcher? How do you NOT get some power on this team in this stadium where everyone BUT the Rangers are hitting the long ball? It's clear that Nolan had a huge influence on this team when he had some control. These deals by JD for Prince and Choo don't look to be working out. Prince was a huge question mark before the signing and we still gave him all that money.

As a fan there is NOTHING to get excited about this year than another mediocre season an probably last in the West again. We need to stop making excuses and start making lineup changes. I'd rather see them call up the young guys and add a spark to this team but that's not going to happen.

GEEZ I'm feeling depressed.

Derek Holland and Sin Soo Choo have both left the game early today. http://rangersblog.dallasnews.com/2015/04/derek-holland-leaves-texas-rangers-home-opener-after-one-inning.html/ My take is that the the Choo train has left the station, and while I give…

Opening Day for the Texas Rangers and all of the MLB is now just two weeks away. I thought I would take a guess at what the Rangers will be running out there for opening day. Again, I am in no way affiliated with the Texas Rangers nor do I have elaborate…

Last season, the Rangers saw the team ERA bloom to a massive 4.49 runs per game and were ranked 28th in all of MLB. In 2013, the Rangers were 10th in the league in ERA with a 3.62. Also in 2013 the Rangers starting pitching was 16th in the league with a…
