Nice to see our very own +Louise Orpin getting mentioned in Cardiff this evening :)
Creating a hovercraft with a CD and a balloon.

This evening I went to #tmcardiff : 'Teach meet Cardiff': http://goo.gl/QFFBgr

This is an event for local primary and high school teachers to meet and share best practice. It was really cool.

Here are some pictures of the event with a video of a cool demo of a hovercraft that only needs a balloon and a CD (and a couple of minor extras) to work.

I gave a very brief 2 minute pitch talking about the outreach that +LearnAboutOR does showing various careers available to mathematicians.

Here's a slide I used as a backdrop while I chatted about the stuff that +Louise Orpin, +Paul Harper and myself do: http://goo.gl/mb8xwO
