By mid-February, most of us are tired of winter’s chill and long for spring, the season of hope and renewal. This year, that may be particularly true for a friend who is very ill ... I’ve updated my photo blog. Click the link to see and read more:
Seeking Hope in the Dead of Winter Perhaps it is a reflection of the black dog that has nipped at my heels throughout my adult life, but for at least two decades now, a part of me has believed that I...

I’ve decided to pitch a new TV series about Bennie Black, a down-on-his-luck journalist who, after layoffs and unsuccessful attempts to find new work, decides to take his three decades of experience drinking coffee to develop a formula for the perfect cup of coffee. But he is challenged by a local gang of ruthless baristas who want in on the action … I’m going to call it “Breaking Mugs.”

Have to try, at least once in awhile, to have a sense of humor about the crap life throws at you!

Story
Tagline
Passionate career journalist shifting gears after layoffs and watching as the news industry continues to founder as a result of its own arrogance and lack of foresight. I like people but have little tolerance for bigots of all stripes, whether Christian, Republican or Democrat.
Introduction
I am a Christian man married to Lisa. We have five wonderful children spanning the ages of 11 to 27. I enjoy talking, fishing, photography, and coffee, not to mention watching birds (hawks, owls and eagles in particular) and most types of wildlife. I'm punconscious. Test me in this (although you may come to regret doing so).
