"Music - the lyrics, the rhythms, and the history of these lyrics and rhythms - that’s where you’ll find the most intimate details about a country’s obsessions and passions." Our local from Guadalajara, Rommel Ceseña, recommends music that will get you in the mood for a trip to any country in Latin America. Conventional guidebooks don't often recommend you head out to the Western suburbs of Sydney. But why not? It's where you'll find some  of the tastiest food in Sydney. Sydney local Afiyat Mustaq likes going to Auburn for Turkish food: http://thelocalist.com/australia/turkish-food-sydney/

Sydney's Most Popular Running Routes

A curious map lover, Nathan Yau, decided to use statistics from the running app "Run Keeper" to discover the most common running routes in 22 cities around the world. The findings are interesting— goo.gl/CqK4b9

Sydney was chosen as one of these cities, with the results (pictured below) backing up his conclusion:

"If there's one quick (and expected) takeaway, it's that people like to run by the water and in parks, probably to get away from cars and the scenery"

What are your favourite running routes in Sydney?
