Not thrilled with their ingredients being from countries that don't have GF regulation. You can get a testing certificate, but is it milled on shared equipment? Verified by the University of Nebraska once it reaches the bakery? Also, too much xanthan gum - like many, I get gummy tummy, and that feels like being glutened. I check my D, B, iron, and iGg levels - even if my tummy is okay, I would still have issues with this lower level of oversight.

I was diagnosed a celiac in February. Since then it's been an interesting whirlwind of trying to acclimatize to the world without gluten. In that time, the bread I had at Little Aussie is hands down the most bread-like GF bread I've ever had. Hell it was even better than most of the wheat-based bread I had in my lifetime before. Can't recommend it enough for the celiac crowd and it's so good you can take non-celiacs and probably not even have them notice. The chicken pot pie was likewise amazing. And I just tore into the cranberry bread I bought and am loving it as much as the rest. Great little place.

My boyfriend and I went here this weekend while checking out the surrounding bookstores. Atmosphere: B Eclectic decor. Hot. Not intimate. Service: B- We walked in, were told to sit wherever we liked, but then told we had to order at the counter. You pay right then and there, and tip is expected. After that they bring the food out to you. Our few interactions were friendly, but we had to help ourselves to silverware. Good thing I can only drink a cup's worth of water at a time anyway. Food: C- The bread has the consistency of foam rubber. The butter substitute is a liquid at room temperature; not very appealing. I ordered a berry summer salad and my boyfriend had the lamb sandwich. He liked the sandwich, which I did not try, but could see that it was made with the same rubbery bread and very thin. The parts of the salad that I liked were the berries, vegetables, and house lime dressing, but the actual salad part was bland iceberg lettuce. You'd think that for an $11 salad you could afford some quality greens. We finished the meal with a slice of sweet potato cheesecake which was tasty, but fluffy as opposed to rich and creamy as you'd expect a cheesecake to be. Value: F This is the nail in the coffin for this place. The berry salad, lamb sandwich, and soda totaled $30, while one normal-sized slice of cheesecake ran another $7. While I respect that some people need gluten-free diets, it has become a fad diet and places like this are reaping the profits of the bandwagon. $37 for one of the lowest quality meals I've had in San Antonio. Next time, we'll try the deli near the Half-Price Books and Bookmart further south on Broadway.

This place has the best chocolate velvet and coconut cake , I have tried a lot of different cakes and these are the best. My nephew who is not gluten free came with me to try this place out and he got the chocolate velvet cake and he devoured it and couldn't stop saying how good it was. And the bread is the best I've ever tasted and I have tried many. I would definitely recommend this place. And the customer service was great!!!!!!!!

Enough to say that my wife will drive an hour an 40 minutes from Round Rock to pick up and order. The best Gluten free breads and hot dogs that we have tasted. Incredibly good fresh, and you do not lose much when you freeze the breads, and consume them over weeks. Our 10 year old son, who is our reason for being GF literally will loves your products..... We are very happy that we discovered the little Aussie bakery a few years ago.

If you are gluten-free, this is the place for you in San Antonio! The atmosphere is very casual. I recommend their Rosemary or Gypsy Chicken Salad. It was flavorful, but I didn't feel disgustingly full afterwards. Win-win. The cookies/pies/cakes are the specialties. Nice to give the Celiacs some options!
