Recommended spiritually charged Jazz sounds from Orsii http://t.co/rUvDalJdB7
Sometimes the only thing that can make you feel better is music. This mix is nothing new, but it's music that lifted my spirit this week so I wanted to share it. Special thanks to Black Classical for the artwork - as always he never falls short of being amazing.

A new mix for you to discover today! Selected by our resident Rob Coley, who is guesting at tonight's Step Out party in London, here's 50 minutes of classic 70s sounds with a spiritual lean. https://www.mixcloud.com/PystolPete/rob-coleys-step-out-mix-for-on-the-corner/
Rob Coley (The Jazz Meet) has dropped this atomic jazz deepness on the eve of Ruby Rushton's debut (22a) at The Forge in Camden. Rob will be digging further into his crates on the night as he spins delectable selections to the Happy Hour crowd. On the Corner is thrilled by this selection and hope you hear it too. Step-Out! with us On the Corner.

It's been a while. Here's a brand new mix from resident Rob Coley for your weekend listening schedule. 60 minutes of contemporary Jazz sounds! https://www.mixcloud.com/thejazzmeet/podcast-141-240615-rob-coley/
So this month was a bit of a write off for the radio show (our fault), so in its place here is a 60 minute mix of recent Jazz releases to tide you over till we return next month. Selected by Jazz Meet resident Rob Coley, it runs the gamut from reissued Sun Ra, killer recent spiritually charged business from Kamasi Washington (twice), contemporary magic from Marcus Elliot and Daniel Wong and Jazzman Records newness from the Greg Foat Group and Cam...

Story
Tagline
Community page for East London's weekly live jazz event. Weekly podcasts, videos and other good stuff.
Introduction

The Jazz Meet is London's newest live jazz event that, in it's is the previous incarnations, has been a mainstay of the London jazz scene for several years now. Held down by a core of talented musicians and featuring an ever-increasing pool of session players, vocalists, DJs and special guests who can be called upon to add that extra bit of individual spice to each occasion, the event over the years has graced many of London’s finest venues, including Proud GalleriesVibe Bar, The Shoreditch and Favela London.

Celebrating the true diversity of the jazz in scene, The Jazz Meet’s aim is simple - to help keep the spirit of live jazz and it's many sub-genres alive within the capital. With regular outings where collaboration, improvisation, rediscovery and most importantly a good groove are key, you can expect to hear a range of sounds from the past and present, whether it be during one of the many weekly band sessions, or during the intervals when resident DJs and guests step up to grace the turntables with their most recent unearthed vinyl gems. As well as the house band, we regularly feature some of London's established and up and coming jazz ensembles in the monthly guest spot. Recent guests have included The Greg Foat GroupCaractacus the Conga Conqueror and the Afro Latin EnsembleGRAM and The Jason Simpson Quintet.
