What a fabulous year we have had at The Dulaig B&B and it can passed so quickly - we can't quite believe it is six months since we were awarded the AA Guest Accommodation of the Year for Scotland 2016-17.

Time does fly when you are enjoying yourself! #TheAA

The weather here has been stunningly gorgeous if a little cold as you can see from Peter Pheasant here in our garden at The Dulaig (www.thedulaig.com). #discoverscottishgardens

We were delighted and honoured that The Dulaig was chosen as Finalist in #TheAAB&BAwards "Friendliest B&B of the Year" for Britain and Ireland!

We travelled to London and really enjoyed the days events at The Landmark Hotel including the lovely lunch, and the presentation of our Certificate and engraved Villeroy & Boch decanter.

Fancy a blue egg for #breakfast? We have them here at The Dulaig B&B!

This is Hyacinth, one of our new Crested #Creamlegbar  hens and she has just started to lay her beautiful pale blue eggs. They look different from the eggs laid by our other 17 hens but they taste just as delicious, especially when Gordon cooks them for our guests' breakfasts!

We were treated to a wonderful view of the partial #solareclipse on 20 March 2015. Here is an image towards the end of the display, just before the clouds closed in.
We had been interested to know if our hens noticed the darkness coming down as they always head towards bed as dusk falls but they were too busy scratching around the garden to notice!

Amber our talking cat!

For fans of our cat, Amber, here is a little film of him talking in the snow at The Dulaig. The film was taken a while ago but it is highly seasonal as we have six inches of snow here!

We are feeling very festive here at The Dulaig B&B- it is snowing heavily and we have put up our #Christmas Tree.

It is a tree full of happy memories as many of its decorations were given to us by friends & family, many more from guests from across the world. I wonder if Santa Claus will like it this year?

This is Amber, our lovely 18 year old   #cat  at The Dulaig B&B . He does not go into our guest areas but our #catlovingguests   love to see him around the house, and in the garden where he does not even chase birds!

We were very worried this week when he had to have an operation on his teeth. The vet warned us that because of his age and other health problems there was a real risk that he may not survive the operation.

We are delighted to say that Amber did make it through and he is now eating us out of house and home!

Welcome home, Amber boy!!!
