A "How To" guide has been written for the Mo'olelo app - should help everyone get started...

The free Mo'olelo app will allow your students to brainstorm and create stories based on visual images. Students can save their work on the app then generate a Google Doc from their outline when they are ready to roll. There are a couple of lesson plan ideas complete with resources. The app works on desktops and is mobile/tablet friendly too! Tested on Chrome and Firefox...sorry ie! No personal information is collected by this app - ever. Enjoy! :)

Give it a go with your students and let me know what you think, or if you have a lesson idea, let me know and I can include it with the app.

Thanks - hope you find it useful in your class!

Just in case anyone is in the area or interested, I will be presenting an introduction to Google Apps at the Convergence Conference in Edmonton, AB (Expo Centre - Room 109) Friday, November 22 • 10:30am - 11:30am. Would love to see you there if you can make it!

If you are an instructor and are looking to get going on the new version of Google Maps, try out their two week course starting on June 10th. Click on the link below to register:

I have also included a link to some resources on how I have used maps in my classroom. Maps are awesome and the new version has some great new features (such as layers) and is a bit easier to use.

The new mark*N*mail app is ready to go! This release will allow you to mark both Test and Rubrics. Some excellent new features have been added:

1. Mark individual questions and set individual question values in the Student View
2. Add comments (including hyperlinks) to any question for any student
3. Send FULL test reports to students or MARKS ONLY
4. Create PDF reports for individual students of each test or rubric.

Finally got some time to put some finishing touches on GooEd! The site has a link to mark*N*mail as well as an app that can be run on any device or OS, as long as the student has a valid Gmail account. Currently, when the student creates a template from the organizer, the shared recipient is automatically made an editor and sent an email notifying them of the doc.

Any suggestions or comments would be welcome...

The new Andorid version of Drive is here with a new look and excellent scan feature.  As well, now you can download any file (mp3, video, pdf, etc.) directly to your device for viewing offline - nice!
* With Google Drive, you can store all your files in one place, so you can ...

Here is a great site to use when designing curriculum that integrates technology. It applies Bloom's Taxonomy with digital tools.
