The Alaskan Malamute is a Nordic sled dog with amazing strength, endurance and a will to work. They pulled light tong distance sleds and heavy loads of food and supplies for the Arctic people.

Malamutes were used in many polar expeditions, such as Admiral Byrd’s trip to the South Pole, for which they  were well suited for.

Often mistaken for a Husky, the Malamute is its own distinct breed with a history unique to this noble breed. The Malamute is bigger, heavier-boned and IMHO has a “Wolfier” look. They also always have brown eyes.

The MALAMUTE is a powerful, hard-working Nordic breed of dog. Like many of the Nordice breeds, they also have a tendency toward having a dry or even crusty nose. NOSE BUTTER® for the ALASKAN MALAMUTE works for your dog's rough nose woes.

The Maltese was a favorite of French aristocracy in the 1400s and by the time of Henry VIII, the Maltese had arrived in the British Isles. By the end of the 16th century, the Maltese was a favored dog of these of royal birth.  Queen Elizabeth I, Mary Queen of Scots, and Queen Victoria were all said to have been enamored of the little white dog’s charms. Goya, Sir Joshua Reynolds, and many other royal artists painted the Maltese nestled in the lap of the royalty of the day.

The Maltese dog is an ancient toy breeds, with ancestry that can be followed for 2000 years. Ancient Egyptian artifacts have images of small white dogs, which resemble the Maltese we know today. It is said the Greeks erected tombs for their beloved Maltese dogs.
