FOIA Ridiculousness Story #52,541: Operation Northwoods was a series of false flag proposals that originated within the United States government in 1962, but were (allegedly) rejected by the Kennedy administration.
I have filed various requests to various agencies for documents, and have received quite a few pages, even from the CIA. This was because some documents from the DIA were forwarded to them for release to me, as a result of my request: http://www.theblackvault.com/documentarchive/operation-northwoods/
However, when I filed an additional "Mandatory Declassification Review" for additional documents on Northwoods, from the CIA, they gave what is called the GLOMAR response - "we can neither confirm nor deny" that documents exist.
The same agency that released documents that mention Northwoods - now claim they won't acknowledge it exists. Huh?
May I also beat the dead horse that these documents were from more than 5 decades ago?
If the plans were rejected, and nothing came out of them, why the secrecy?
