Whether you see him as a U.S. Senator, or Manhattan District Attorney Arthur Branch on Law & Order (and a ton of other roles), Fred Thompson's FBI file has been declassified and released to The Black Vault.

Download it now at: http://www.theblackvault.com/documentarchive/fbi-files-politicians-political-aides/
It comes as no surprise, as celebrities and gangsters were being watched -- so were the politicians. The following is a list of released records. Declassified Politician & Political Aide FBI Files Agnew, Spiro [1,454 Pages, 65.05MB] - ...

FOIA Ridiculousness Story #52,541: Operation Northwoods was a series of false flag proposals that originated within the United States government in 1962, but were (allegedly) rejected by the Kennedy administration.

I have filed various requests to various agencies for documents, and have received quite a few pages, even from the CIA. This was because some documents from the DIA were forwarded to them for release to me, as a result of my request: http://www.theblackvault.com/documentarchive/operation-northwoods/

However, when I filed an additional "Mandatory Declassification Review" for additional documents on Northwoods, from the CIA, they gave what is called the GLOMAR response - "we can neither confirm nor deny" that documents exist.

The same agency that released documents that mention Northwoods - now claim they won't acknowledge it exists. Huh?

May I also beat the dead horse that these documents were from more than 5 decades ago?

If the plans were rejected, and nothing came out of them, why the secrecy?

Before there was the infamous Art Bell who owned late night paranormal talk radio, there was Long John Nebel.

Recently, I was able to get the FBI File declassified, which details a 1957 attempt at extortion.

It can be download on The Black Vault at: http://www.theblackvault.com/documentarchive/fbi-files-the-paranormal-collection/

The Intelligence Evaluation Committee was created in December 1970, to help bolster coordination among U.S. intelligence agencies.

Nearly 3,000 pages have been declassified from the FBI, and added to The Black Vault:

It turns out, the Agency *is* monitoring almost every mention of it online; but it's not surveillance - it's part of their "public relations" efforts.

We all know about UFOs... but rarely hear about their counter-part USOs - Unidentified Submerged Objects.

To my surprise, after filing a request to the NAVY's NCIS division, they have investigated USOs.

I have added the declassified files to The Black Vault, and you can view them here: http://www.theblackvault.com/documentarchive/naval-criminal-investigative-service-ncis-documents-on-unidentified-submerged-objects-or-usos/
