I was finally able to bring my 10 year old daughter to this school for a quality haircut and style and she walked away looking like a fashion model! The staff were courteous, professional and extremely qualified. I would highly recommend this facility for a wonderful and affordable hair style. I can't wait to make an appointment for myself!

Just got my haircut by Taylor #71 and she did such a great job! Not only do I love it but so does my husband! She cut the perfect length and gave me the exact layers I wanted. Can't wait to see her next time!

I would have given zero stars if it was possible. I called for a conditioning treatment and they told me to be here at 4:30pm. I showed up on time and sat for twenty minutes before someone came up to me and said that the delay was due to a change in shifts. At what point do you NOT know that and why would you schedule me to an appointment during a shift change?!?!? He also told me that they were setting up immediately and it wouldn't be long. Ten minutes later I walked out the door. I can see why the stars for this place are low. I understand that it is an academy but when you are unable to properly schedule people, wow, that is just poor service.

I made an appointment for 10:30 and didn't get out of there until 3. A hour how was spent on the students asking the teacher what to do. I had 2 girls working on my hair and both helping eachother hold the foil. The highlights were bigger then what I wanted and not as blended as I wanted . Don't go there . The prices aren't worth the service .

WARNING!!!!!!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL FOR HAIR COLOR! My daughter made an appointment to have her roots colored and lightened. Her hair was originally colored in a beautiful trendy silver blonde. She only needed 1.5 inches highlighted and toned. They used 2 types of strong bleach directly on her scalp. Anyone who knows even a little about hair, knows that you NEVER apply directly to the root of the hair. He scalp is now burned and her hair is ORANGE!!!!! Then to add insult to injury.....they told her she had to pay for it, that it wasn't their fault her hair didn't take the color they applied ; but...if she wants to come back tomorrow they will only charge her for supplies to try again. Because of the damage to her hair, a beautiful, natural blonde now has no choice but to cover this color with BROWN. Paul Mitchell makes a tinted shampoo for damaged hair and they did not even try to cover up the mistake so this client could go to work. They left her crying! I am calling the BBB and an attorney immediately! DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL FOR SERVICES!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT.

Absolutely terrible. I have been to this school in San Antonio before and staff was so friendly and great service but recommended my sister to the one in Austin having such a good experience at the other location and it was a major let down. I COMPLETELY understand that this is a learning school so I shouldn't expect perfection, but my sister went in for a colorful ombre and got something completely different. Color did not catch at all and they didn't even attempt to fix it, just told her to come back and try again. Money down the drain. She was looking for a deep purple and blue but instead got a faded tacky green that comes off as grey. Staff was friendly but could have just told us they wouldn't be able to give her the look she wanted before she let them touch her natural hair and waste her money. Will not be coming back again.

Victoria did an OUTSTANDING job of highlights using foils!!! The placement of the highlights are perfect, the staff treated me like royalty. Roni -the supervisor on the floor is just so knowledgeable and her personality provides a light and airy vibe to the atmosphere. I highly recommend.

WARNING: If you do not want to pay $20 for simply straightening your hair just let them blow dry your hair and leave. I personally feel fooled. My hair appointment was estimated at $25 but my student didn't know they charged $20 for running a straightening iron once through my hair essentially doubling my salon service price, they like to call it "iron works". I guess that's how they get you, no disclaimer at all. They need to inform their students on the prices of services because my student was completely dumbfounded when we walked up to the cash register, she herself assumed that service would be covered within the $25-$35 estimate I was given to sign. So convenient for them to hold me to that contract but so easy for them to change it themselves with no fair warning. They should have had me sign a revised contract before proceding with the "additional" hair services. Not going to say they're dishonest because I should have known better, but I am going to say that I guess that's a business tactic. So I'm sad to say proceed with caution even just getting your hair looked at. So you won't end up feeling like me- "Here Paul Mitchell, take my hard earned money please!"
