Read "Remember Your True Identity and Realize Self-Liberation", an article by Guy Finley. See that nothing real stands between you & your wish to be free. The parts of you that "believe" in your inadequacy, are the same ones that send you looking for solutions to the suffering they engender.

Could you imagine a world in which everything is taken at face value and the question mark is never used? Surely that world would quickly dissolve inside its limits. We would never dream, watching the night sky and wondering what lies far, far away. http://www.forwardstepsblog.com/penetrating-questions
When we ask ourselves those prickly kind of questions, we are making contact with the heart. Powerful, penetrating questions can sometimes need a lifetime, and there is no guarantee they will even receive closure. As eyes are the window to our soul, questions are the key to our soul.

Introduction
My name is Thea Westra and I help people move forward in their lives. As the author of Time For My Life: 365 Stepping Stones and the creator of Forward Steps, my mission is to help others add wings to their unique life journey.

Born on the Caribbean island of Curaçao, I spent my childhood in Holland, and eventually moved to Australia, where I now live with my life partner, Greg, and publish lots of positive, upbeat content to empower people to do what I did...

Like most people, I lead a “typical” life that included studying hard in school, working as a teacher for 23 years, socializing with friends and dating, and buying my own house.

At the age of 41, however, I came to a stark realization that I was living a life which seemed like it had been designed FOR me and not wholly BY me. Can you relate?

Most of us have dreams in life to do great things, but those dreams get put aside as we deal with the daily chores of everyday life. I’m here to tell you that you can create the life you want—you can choose where and how to live a life that’s fulfilling to you! I know this to be true, because I did it, and you can too.

In my early 40s, I did something most people wish they could do—I quit my job, sold my home, and moved across the country on my own. The one question I wanted to answer—I needed to answer—was this: “Who am I without the house, the career, and the labels bestowed by society?”

One of the greatest realizations I learned on my personal journey is this—there are thousands of possible ways to experience our life and we really do get to pick! Was I going to just let life play out anyway it wanted to, or was I going to start making my own dreams reality?

Taking action, I decided to try out the notion of living any life I chose without the chains of a mortgage and a secure career shackling me. What I wanted for the rest of my life had to be tested.

Upon moving to Perth, Australia, I met Greg, who became my life partner. Sharing life with Greg has definitely been a real, positive change in my life. Meanwhile, I started painting, managing a gallery space, and even selling my own paintings for a good price. While I enjoyed painting, the challenge of managing 150 artists and organizing regular exhibitions at the gallery became too demanding. So, I decided to set up my own solo business.

Throughout my lifetime, people would often approach me for advice when they felt a bit stuck in their lives. I had always had an interest in self-improvement information and reading “how to” books and articles related to personal transformation, in addition to many years of personal growth training.

My knowledge and experience of helping others with their lives turned into a new career. I became a life coach and built my own business using the power of the internet to connect with many people around the world.

Proving that you’re never too old to learn something new, I started writing a blog, delivering a newsletter online, and designing websites in an effort to present ideas and inspiration to empower people.

By sharing positive, thought-provoking content, my aim is to help people like you discover and move toward what you really want, rather than feeling stuck, trapped or in a rut.

The reason I call my main website “Forward Steps” is because I believe that we can choose to make our vision tangibly real by taking action, followed by forward steps in our desired direction. A favorite saying of mine is this: “Whatever you focus on WILL expand.”

In order to grow, expand and develop as people, we need to challenge ourselves, even just a little each day, and open up fresh perspectives on life. New experiences are vital to life. A shift in our habits can literally transform our lives.

I wanted to be able to find a place on the internet where I’d get daily inspiration, but was never satisfied with what I found. So, I created my own powerful content to “power up my thinking” on a daily basis and give myself specific actions to take for days I feel a bit directionless.

That content is something I share with you through email, online posts, articles, and books. I like to get people thinking about their life, offering them life power tips (short, simple messages with a focus point), as well as questions, affirmations, quotations, challenges, and actions-to-take.

I realize that I don’t have “all the answers” to life, and therefore, I’m pleased to share with people additional online resources where they can find recommended books, movie/video suggestions, humorous stuff for a laugh, and inspiring music.

It comes down to this—do you want to change your life? Yes? Well then, I’m here to help you change your life for the better. Take action. Start today.

Namasté,
Thea
