Have you been thinking about getting into a gym in order to shed unwanted pounds that you have gained over time? It can be difficult to make the decision to get up and go to the gym, but the only way anything is going to change is if you take the first step. Getting up off the couch is the hardest part--now go ahead and take the first step by coming to The Zoo Health Club! Watch the pounds melt away with a little bit of hard work and determination.

At The Zoo Health Club, we have many classes and machines that will help get you into a great routine of exercise so that you can get back on the right track. Imagine how you will feel when you are back in great shape--and you started by making the decision to start a workout regimen that will change your life! It is one of the most important decisions that a person can make, and you will feel like you have a new lease on life because of how great you will look after months of working out. We are located in Simsbury, CT, and we can also help you get back in shape if you are coming from Avon, Canton, Farmington, Granby, and much of the surrounding area.

Here at The Zoo Health Club, we have many machines that can help in a wide variety of purposes, such as cardio, weights, and strength training equipment. We have all that you will need to get yourself back into shape and in a healthy way. There are also many group exercise classes that are free of charge, and they are quite challenging--because if you are not being challenged, what is the point of working out? The only way to do so is to push yourself so that you can get into good shape and have the body that you have always dreamed of.

If you are having trouble getting started or do not know which exercises will be the most effective for you, there are personal trainers always available to help you out. After your workout, you can relax in the sauna, whirlpool, or steam room, which are also great ways to sweat out all of the toxins in your body. Swimming has also been a proven way to work all of your muscles, so for your convenience we have lap pools that can be very effective in tightening the muscles. Whatever it is that you wish to do, we here at The Zoo Health Club can help whip you into shape in no time at all! #Personaltrainer   #Grouptraining   #FitnessClub   #Nutritioncounselor   #Exerciseclasses   #Personaltraining   #Localpersonaltrainer   #healthClub   #LocalNutritionalist   #LocalGym   #Ct   #Simsbury

The key is choosing nutrient-dense foods, such as leafy greens, low-fat yogurt, dried beans, whole grains, and salmon. The only problem is vitamin D.

Are you keeping your metabolism high? Make sure you are eating small snacks every 3-4 hours to ensure that your body is continuously getting fuel. Remember that muscle mass also burns more calories at rest than fat mass, so make sure you are performing those resistance exercises.

If you have high blood pressure or are at risk for it, get no more than 1,500 mg of sodium per day.

Get into the fitness center this weekend. Push yourself to get an extra day of exercise in this week. Remember having someone to hold you accountable will make the ride so much easier. We are here if you need us.

As you add whole grains to your diet, water helps move the fiber smoothly through your digestive tract, reducing the chances of constipation.

Control your thoughts today and stray away from the 'treats'. If you start to crave something that you know you shouldn't be eating this week, then no matter where you are, stand up and perform 30 body weight squats. Replace those tempting thoughts with exercise.

What about 100% fruit juice with no added sugar? Even all-natural fruit juice has a lot of calories.

Potatoes aren't all bad; they're a good source of vitamin C, potassium, and fiber. But eat them only occasionally, in small amounts, and with the skins on (that's where the fiber is).
