My family stayed for Thanksgiving and like others it was at best a one star experience. Room was dirty and every night we had to walk to the front desk and ask for towels. Dirty sock on floor when we arrived under the TV and strands of hair on the bathroom door and base of toilet. None of which were remedied during our stay. To top it off the last night they didn't even pretend to clean the room...beds not made up and all our towels still on the floor.

Thank you for being our guest and for taking time to review your recent stay. I apologize for the housekeeping issues in your room and even more that we didn't promptly respond to correct it. We have inspection procedures in place to make sure that this does not occur so I am sorry that steps were missed in this case. I am working with our housekeeping department to tighten procedures to make sure that we deliver a superb stay every time. DO NOT STAY HERE. Ok so this is a nice place but the service stinks and you will NOT get any sleep at night. You have to beg for clean towels and no one stays here except for wedding parties. So you can look forward to people drinking all night, smoking weed in the room next to you, and raising heck all night long. Plus watch your bill carefully; sometimes they charge you in advance for "services" that you MAY use (but probably won't).

We checked in last night and asked for another night. The front desk person took our new card, explained everything for the second night, and checked us in. Today I had a do not disturb sign on the door and was half naked changing. I replied with a "YES?" really loud, but that still didn't matter, because next thing I know someone was standing in my room. When I went to complain because I'm livid this happened I found out that the person who checked us in didn't put us in for the second night. Okay... So why was someone coming into my room when I there was a do not disturb sign and I responded very loudly from the other side of the door?! When I was finished speaking to a manager I was locked out of my room and at this point I'm so livid I wish we could stay somewhere else. Worst hotel experience of my life. I will NEVER return and I suggest people choose to stay at a nicer hotel where you can change in your own room without some stranger coming in to see you in unclothed.

I attend weekly BNI meetings here. It is a beautiful hotel on the water and the food is good and reasonable.

Two free seminars are coming your way. UF Health experts will be at The Waterfront Inn on Monday, December 12, and the first seminar covers seizure myths, medications and management from 2-3pm. The second seminar follows from 3:15-4:15pm and discusses all types of allergies, diagnosis, treatment and management. Refreshments will be provided.
