Burr, it’s cold -- too cold to do anything outside, so this is a great time to experience a romantic getaway. The Stockade offers its “Red Stick Romance Package” with several options from which to choose. #romancegetawaypackage

Recent 5-Star Trip Advisor Review of The Stockade: “Most Favorite Stay in Louisiana: We stayed in 6 different hotels / B&B's during our tour through Louisiana and this was my favorite one. The house is beautiful. Upon arrival we were welcomed by Steve, who gave us a tour of the house and showed us our spacious room (The Escape Room). We were offered wine and there were also several soft drinks available in our room. The next morning we had a lovely breakfast. We met Janice, who advised us of things to do in Baton Rouge and even provided me with some cream for my mosquito bites. If I'm ever in Baton Rouge again, I would love to stay here a second time.”

Very much enjoyed my brief stay. A beautiful common room all decorated for Christmas and a well maintained exterior. Janice, the innkeeper, was there to greet me when I arrived and showed me to my room, The Escape. The room was huge, clean, and well lit. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were good quality. My only suggestion would be to update the bathroom. The bathroom decor is a little dated and the lighting is dim with no light in the shower. I was not able to stay for breakfast as I had to leave very early, but I will definitely be staying at the Stockade again on my next trip to Baton Rouge.

Thank you for staying with us Ron. Sorry we missed you for breakfast. And thanks for letting us know about the lighting. I will put some brighter bulbs in that bathroom to make it easier to see. We appreciate your comments and look forward to seeing you on your next trip to Baton Rouge. Happy Holidays to you and your family. Best Wishes, Janice, Innkeeper

Our visit to The Stockade Bed and Breakfast was perfect this year! While we thoroughly enjoyed last year, this year was remarkable. Janice and her staff open the doors and create the most relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast is truly an enjoyable feast. This was our second stay at the The Stockade and without a doubt, we look to forward to many more visits in the future.

Since I discovered The Stockade several years ago its the only place I stay when in Baton Rouge. The folks that run it are warm and friendly. Really beautiful and comfortable rooms located in the nicest part of town, close to several excellent restaurants. Its the perfect place to stay for me.

My fiance and I were not allowed to make a reservation for this B & B because of their two night minimum during game weekends. We were not even looking to stay the actual game day night and were looking for something special for our wedding night. It would have been nice had the staff considered this and the fact that two rooms out of six were still available just a few weeks before the game, a rarity during an LSU home game weekend. I guess we'll never know if this is a nice, quaint place as described because we will never be returning to stay here.

We spent only one night at stockade BnB, but it was a wonderful stay, beautiful garden welcome you, then you discover a beautiful house, well old and confortably furnished,; A perfect place in a quiet location. The room was even better than described; very quiet. The host was so kind, we think that no other house in the area was as good as this one! I'd like to come back soon!

Another awesome experience at the Stockade! I have stayed at the B&B several times and each time it looks better than the last. It obviously is a labor of love to maintain this property at this level. Janice and her staff do an excellent job with keeping the place up and making guests feel welcome. The hospitality and ambiance at the Stockade sets the standard for any B&B stay. The rooms are elegantly appointed and impeccably clean. The welcome glass of wine and also breakfast the following morning are not to be missed. The B&B features a breakfast menu that showcases Louisiana food and was great! If you have not had grits you will have some great ones on your visit. If you are looking for a great place to stay for business or pleasure look no further as it is the best in Baton Rouge. Several places to eat are within walking distance which makes this even more convenient for visitors.

Even before I arrived at The Stockade, I enjoyed the beauty of the rolling hills and nice homes along the way. Upon arrival, Janice was there to greet me as I walked into a beautiful home with lovely furnishings. The B&B was decorated for Mardi Gras and I enjoyed spending time looking through magazines of South Louisiana recipes while sitting in front of the massive fireplace in the living room. My room, The Rex, was huge and had a large sitting area, desk, and all the amenities I could ask for, even my own coffee pot. The bathroom was extremely nice and the shower was large. I enjoyed a leisurely breakfast with other guests and Janice, the innkeeper, the next morning. It was really a treat with South Louisiana dishes and other items from which the guests could choose. Though minutes from downtown Baton Rouge, the grounds of the Stockade are wooded all around, making you feel like you are in a country setting. There is a deck with lots of area for relaxation. Janice is as nice and hospitable as they come and her friendliness added to the overall pleasant experience of staying there. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back.
