Now don't you worry, it's a never-ending story.

"The City is a Garden" by Kim Gordon (of Sonic Youth fame) is now showing at 303 Gallery.

Madonna shot her new video “Bitch I’m Madonna” across town at The Standard, High Line. We’re just a little bit jealous.

Unequivocally the best hotel in NYC. The Standard sets the bar, by with all other hotels should be measured. Personal/professional service and exquisite accommodations. And the views… WOW the VIEWS!

Trendy urban hotel in the heart of the East Village with tiny rooms for a big price. + Hip and modern. + Great location with many great restaurants and shops nearby. + Amazing penthouse patio where breakfast was served. - Tiny compact room for the price. There's limited space to walk around or put your things. - Staff was aloof and cold.

small rooms but otherwise elegant and chic. Close to the lower east side galleries and chic boutiques. I love staying here and walking down the lower east side and dining and shopping. It's suits every need and they have a gym!

Chic and trendy hotel and bar! It looks even better after the renovation. Really good place to grab some cocktails after work. The crowd and the ambiance are great! Min, the bartender, makes great on or off the menu cocktails. I asked for a jalapeno margarita and he made me a great one!

Beautifully architectural designed hotel, that pushes up the ante on the Bowery, there's mini office like spaces for doing business while you stay here, 2 restaurants, one casual bar-type and a more formal, where the kitchen is open like a stage, and you can watch the chefs at work at their art of gastronomy. More hotel design additions like this that combines clean modernism (if Calvin Klein would design a building perhaps it would look like this)--while a rambling cozy garden with charming wildlife compliments the hard glass & steel building design--It's a counterpoint of hard & soft, which is how I would characterize the Standard East Village--it epitomizes the dualities of professionalism with a twist, those that grew up as perhaps flower children or wild ones, but that are getting it together and doing something with their lives, both design wise and culinarily speaking at the Narcissa--because you have to be a bit vain, and believe in yourself in order to make it in the concrete jungle! More additions like this would be most welcome on the Bowery that is becoming the IN place to be, Downtown NYC rocks !

small but elegant rooms - the biggest plus is the location - close to all business connections like Wall St and Midtown but set in the more casual atmosphere of the Village - NYC's bohemian neighborhodd make sure to have happy hour at their roof bar - has great views and ambience

I was appalled to see the poor treatment of a service member by hotel staff while staying there, and will thus never stay there again.
