Tonight look for the sky’s brightest and second-brightest planets to stage their closest conjunction until next year.http://bit.ly/1IkHefx
Tonight – June 30, 2015 – and tomorrow night, look for the sky's brightest and second-brightest planets to stage their closest conjunction until August, 2016. Venus and Jupiter will be less than one-half degree apart. That's less than the moon's diameter on our sky's dome.

KIRKCUDBRIGHT'S ART EXHIBITION STARTS 4th July - 30th August
‘The Airdrie Boys’ showcases the work of artists, John Cunningham RGI DLitt (1926-1998) and Dan Ferguson RSW RGI (1925-1993). Dan Ferguson and John Cunningham were born in Lanarkshire and educated at Airdrie Academy where their life-long friendship was formed. Both studied drawing and painting at Glasgow School of Art and went on to become senior lecturers there, influencing the careers of many students. They exhibited in the same major shows in Scotland; the RGI, RSA and RSW and were both active members of the Glasgow Art Club #dumfriesandgalloway #artiststown #art exhibitions

My friends and I stay here every January when on our pheasant hunt. The hotel is very quiet and clean, the restaurant and pub are very good and the staff are excellent and make you feel like you are at home. Highly recommended.

Disappointed. Visiting my mother-in-law, the family came here for lunch and found the food to be over cooked and rather bland. Staff were friendly enough though, must have caught them on an off day.

During our two day two night stay, the only dissapoinment was discovering that it was a Best Western Hotel. We have had some very dissapointing BW stays over the years but thankfully this was not to be one. Co Director/Manager Douglas was a joy. Nothing was too much trouble and his staff were out of the same mould. Food, ambiance, service were the best of the best. We will be back a.s.a.p. Many thanks to all from Vince & Anette Eager
